The sun is out and so is P-12! Our first P-12, Zero, out foiling in 25 knots. Pretty smooth, right? ⚡️

How smooth is Candela P-12 in waves? Watch the of the P-12 Nova validating its performance in waves outside Nynäshamn, Sweden. The test was conducted on a day with 14 m/s gusts and easterly swells up to 2 meters high, sending our accompanying photo RIB flying as it tried to keep up with the Candela P-12. The P-12 is designed to handle significant wave heights of 1 Hs, meaning some waves can reach almost 2 meters in height. In non-foiling mode, the P-12 is built to withstand 2 Hs, meaning occasional waves can exceed 3.5 meters. Its operational scope includes coastal routes, archipelagos, urban waters, lakes, and rivers, providing ride comfort far superior to traditional boats. Here’s a look back at some of the highlights from this remarkable year: 💥 Launched Nova: The world’s first electric hydrofoil ferry now transforms Stockholm commutes—faster, greener, and more comfortable. 💥 Secured major deals: P-12 ferries are heading to NEOM, Germany, and New Zealand—our largest orders yet. 💥 Record funding: Raised $40M to scale P-12 production and lead emission-free maritime transport. 💥 Launched C-8 Polestar Edition: With Polestar, we created the C-8 Polestar Edition — a masterpiece of sustainable luxury. 💥 Great events: Like this magical night together with Astrid Wild. 💥 Set a world record: Traveled 150 nautical miles in a single day, proving our hydrofoils’ unmatched range. 💥 Brought our vessels to new parts of the world: Everything from cruising under Brooklyn Bridge in New York, to foiling the waters of Singapore, to flying by the opera house of Sydney, Australia. Cheers to everyone we have met along the way this year! 💥 Celebrated with you: A highlight of the year was Candela Day, where we brought together customers, partners, and enthusiasts to celebrate Candela’s 10th anniversary and our journey so far. Candela is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year! Here are some words from our founder and CEO, Gustav Hasselskog: "10 years ago I started Candela. I had no idea how hard it would be. Nor that it would be so freaking fun. Being pretty nerdy, Candela has been like a never ending candy store of engineering problems. And then all the brilliant and kind people who have taken us this far. You rock! Be proud! Here is 10 years of passion and sleepless nights compressed into 14 min. Small wakes, big impact. Watch our Candela P-12 glide by without tipping the paddleboarder, while the other ferry’s wake... well, you’ll see! Together with Kungliga Tekniska högskolan university, we measured the wake height from P-12 vs a regular, similar-sized diesel ferry. Less wake means safer waterways, reduced shoreline erosion, and unlocking the potential for faster waterborne transport—just like we’re doing in Stockholm with the world’s first electric hydrofoil ferry line. #CandelaBoats #EV #KTH

First electric foiling ferry in the US! We’re excited to announce our partnership with FlyTahoe to bring zero-emission waterborne transport to Lake Tahoe. The first Candela P-12 in the United States will provide a north-south crossing on the lake, alleviating road congestion and offering a much faster alternative to cars around the lake – all while helping to keep the lake blue. This marks a major milestone for Candela as we officially enter the vast US market for electric vessels. Stay tuned! #CandelaBoats #FlyTahoe
