When developing software that shall run robots it is good to have your own robots to start with. We made this pick-and-place application to showcase internally that you can greatly benefit from Juliet&Romeo. Prior to this application, we had a cumbersome IEC 61131 application with many state machines apart from the robot's own. We also could make unit and integration tests for all libraries, like for communication with Fizyr which made the actual application easy to develop. We also have new libraries from which we benefit greatly like the behavior tree library that reduces the code a developer needs to write to 5-10 functions implementing behavior tree actions and conditions. Now we can easily change and optimize our application. Of course, we used Gitlab and git for source and quality control, and with a proper CI pipeline we can automatically test that all parts still work together and individually. #julietandromeo #programming #robotics #engineering #plc #softwaredevelopment #industrialautomation #automation #pickandplace #gitlab

Cognibotics together with VibiCore has successfully demonstrated Vibration drilling with the SigmaTau robot. Read more in the article below. This project was funded by Vinnova together with RISE Research Institutes of Sweden focuses on improving drilling precision and efficiency through advanced technological integration. The SigmaTau robot, equipped with the VibiCore vibration spindle and Seco Tools cutting tools, offers operators advanced control over the drilling process.
