Senior representatives from our leading holiday dialysis programme, d.HOLIDAY, participated in two major kidney patient association (KPA) meetings last month. This included the Nordic Kidney Patient Associations’ Annual General Meeting, in Helsinki, Finland, and the EKPF - European Kidney Patients' Federation 2024 Annual Summit and General Assembly in Berlin, Germany. These events united professionals from the renal care sector and kidney patient communities worldwide, to collaborate on enhancing patient care and experiences. Elenor Mårtensson, Global Customer Manager, said: “I was delighted to participate in two significant KPA meetings this month. It was a pleasure to meet representatives of the Nordic KPAs in person and present our work in a new region. Discussing how we can collaborate to help patients live their lives to the fullest was truly inspiring. I am sincerely grateful to the Finnish KPA for inviting me to this meeting and giving me the opportunity to share how d.HOLIDAY empowers patients to travel with confidence around the world. “I was also honoured to be invited to EKPF’s conference and to learn about the latest research and developments in CKD from industry leaders. We were recently invited to participate in a meeting focused on investment opportunities in the Western Balkans, held at the Swedish Parliament. The event brought together representatives from Swedish companies with a global presence, government agencies and ambassadors, to exchange views on the topic & help generate new business ideas. Representatives from Diaverum’s leadership participated in the meeting, including our CFO, Björn Brixer, and Dimitar Klisarovski, Country Manager for Diaverum North Macedonia. Dimitar said: “I am grateful for the opportunity to present the current situation in North Macedonia and Diaverum’s upward trajectory in this growing market, which offers vast prospects for investors. Supporting our patients and staff through unprecedented times in Valencia. On 29 October, #Valencia, #Spain, experienced devastating floods that have caused significant damage and tragically taken lives. We have been profoundly saddened by the losses suffered by the region and community that we are part of, & have been working closely with all stakeholders to provide the utmost support possible during this time. In the aftermath of this tragic event, our priority has been to ensure continuity of care for our patients, as well as the well-being of our people who treat for them. Although two of our clinics have sustained significant damages, the quick actions of our Valencia teams, with the continual support of our Diaverum España management team, enabled those patients directly affected to be reallocated to other Diaverum centres in the region. We are profoundly thankful for their work and incredibly proud of the resilience and #Truecare they’ve shown in these unprecedented times. World Diabetes Day 💉 🩸 Diabetes is a major cause of chronic kidney disease (CKD). High blood sugar levels can damage the blood vessels in the kidneys, leading to CKD over time. At Diaverum, we are working to leverage our 30 years of expertise in renal healthcare, clinical and digital experience & play an active role in preventive healthcare. This includes the digitally-powered management of the causes of CKD such as diabetes, hypertension and cardiovascular disease, based on a coordinated multidisciplinary care approach. Timely identification and better management of disease in outpatient clinics, along with target therapeutics, will slow progression, & may even avoid the need for dialysis. On Monday, we had the privilege of hosting the Swecare Board at our Diaverum HQ in Malmo, of which our Director of Patient Experience Michaela Blomstrand is a proud member. Led by Chairman Agneta Karlsson and CEO Maria Helling, Swecare is a non-profit platform where academia comes together with the public and private sectors, to support the internationalisation of Swedish healthcare 🇸🇪 As one of the 100 Swedish companies in its network, we had the unique opportunity to share our success story - a Sweden-born, multinational organisation with a history of over 30 years of growth, internationalisation and benchmark medical outcomes, transforming us into a leading renal care service provider with global scale.   In an engaging meeting, I took the them through our value proposition – comprised of our proprietary care delivery model; digital & AI infrastructure; and culture of True care - , while our country managers José María Ordóñez Martí-Aguilar and Dimitar Klisarovski explored the development of our successful Spanish and North Macedonian businesses; our ESG Global Manager, Stephanie de Sury, then delivered an overview of our approach on sustainability. Finally, we also had the chance to discuss challenges and opportunities to grow our Swedish network of clinics, our home country, where it all started – thanks Sergio Gustavo Rodriguez, regional ops director, for bringing context to this topic too.   Looking forward to taking this relationship forward, to leverage further the internationalisation of Swedish high-standards healthcare practices through Diaverum, for the benefit of more renal patients and national health care system around the world, with our unparalleled life-enhancing renal care offering. #healthcare #digitalhealth #sweden #renalcare M42 Health
