Just one day before Visibility Now!, we were delighted to bring our customers together for a hands-on workshop. As part of our customer council, we explored how to measure, manage, reduce, and report CO2 emissions in the transportation sector. 💡 What happens in a room with around 50 women from the FVL sector? Well, what says in the room stays in the room, but the Women in FVL Network meeting at Grand Elysée Hotel in Hamburg has just ended. So many exciting thoughts, discussions, and intelligent representatives from OEM and FVL companies! The brilliant panel, set together by Andreea Maria Serbu, Senior Manager External Affairs at ECG, was heavy with years of experience in the sector, with Amanda Turner, Ford Motor Company, Sophie Punte, Smart Freight Centre, Neringa Jasiulioniene, Manvesta, Anna Llisterri Manent, Port Authority of Barcelona, and Viet-Anh Pitaval, Elain. 🌍🚚 The sustainable transformation of our Mars Supply Chain continues: Together we can achieve a greener future! 🌱 Pooling knowledge and resources and sharing best practices is key. The transition to more environmentally friendly practices in our supply chains requires not only a radical rethinking and innovative technologies but also close collaboration among various partners. Mars has now launched a project with Shippeo, Elain, and Rigterink Logistikgruppe to create enhanced transparency regarding our Scope 3 emissions from our transport movements. The integration of primary data further sharpens the calculations of CO2 emissions, simplifies internal reporting, and allows us to even better quantify our commitment to environmental protection. This is an important step for us. In future collaborations with logistics and trading partners, we will develop further solutions to jointly reduce the ecological footprint of the transport sector.
