🕯️ Yesterday, at Nobel Week Lights, we gathered at the Nobel Prize Museum for an inspiring evening celebrating light and collaboration. Guided tours of the Nobel Week Lights installations showcased how light transforms spaces and drives innovation. A special thanks to Erika Lanner for the warm welcome at the Nobel Prize Museum, where we were honored to hear from Lara Szabo Greisman, co-founder of Nobel Week Lights; SMASH - Experience Design Studio (Veronica Reed & Ash Reed) Frida Almqvist and Henrik Clausen from Fagerhult Lighting Academy, who shared insights on the intersection of light, art, and research. Hosted by our own Maja Salinder 👌 Thank you to everyone who joined us and made the evening so memorable. Together, we explored how collaboration can shape a brighter, more sustainable future! 🌟 Want to know more about Nobel Week Lights?: 👇 https://lnkd.in/dFt5JyG3

Love at First Sight by the artistic duo SMASH invites us to reflect on the mysterious forces that guide our paths. For Ash and Veronica Reed, the duo behind SMASH, this piece is deeply personal. Twelve years ago, they met by chance on the very steps outside the building where Love at First Sight is now displayed. ✨ Fagerhult is honored to support this installation at Nobel Week Lights and we are proud to collaborate with Nobel Prize Museum. Nobel Week Lights is a free festival illuminating Stockholm from December 7–15, 16:00–22:00, celebrating Nobel Prize-winning ideas. #NobelWeekLights2024 ✨ Explore Nobel Week Lights: https://lnkd.in/ddHAXeYq

  • 💫 Our concept, formerly known as Re:Furbish, is called ReLight. The principle is the same: we upgrade old luminaries and give them new technology and a new life. But rather than taking them back to their original form, we change its light source, add future-proofed smart lighting technology and enhance its energy efficiency and overall performance. 🔄 We simply ReLight your old luminaire and extend its lifecycle. 👀 Want to know more? • ♻️ What about aluminum and circularity? ♻️ Today, on Circular Monday, we want to share some learnings around aluminum and circularity. Aluminum is a durable material that can be recycled almost endlessly. But when luminaires of extruded aluminium are recycled, the properties of the material often undergo downgrading, and the material can be used is then used in die casting, for example. Based on the methods in a pilot project together with Norsk Hydro, we now know how to reuse and ensure the quality of aluminium in more of our luminaire frames – while preserving material properties and the raw material’s original value. The extruded aluminium can thus be used over and over again, in the same form and with the same quality, which reduces the need for producing new raw material. 👇 Do you want to know more about the methods and the result? • ✨❄️ This wednesday, there was a festive atmosphere in Fagerhult as an unusual illuminated trail was inaugurated. Unusual in the sense that the 2.5 km long loop consists of 67 luminaires of different models, from four different manufacturers – all from lighting manufacturers within the Fagerhult Group: WE-EF LIGHTING, iGuzzini, ateljé Lyktan and Fagerhult. What ties them together is that they all use the group's own control system, Citygrid powered by Seneco, and the loop will be used as a test bed for software on different types of luminaires. 🕯️ During the inauguration, Children's Rights Day was also highlighted as the children from the nearby preschool showcased their lanterns to the locals and parents through a light manifestation, while also raising funds for UNICEF. 🏃 The illuminated trail in Fagerhult is a unique collaboration between Fagerhult, Fagerhult Group, and Habo kommun.
