2 Leaders speak in NEW EVinfo.net interview! IoT-connected EV chargers are important as the EV revolution grows worldwide and in the US at a steady pace. As EV charging companies rapidly expand alongside the growth of electric vehicles in the U.S., they may be overlooking a critical aspect of business operations: securing licenses for the cellular technologies integrated into their systems. EVinfo.net spoke with two well-respected industry leaders about Avanci’s EV Charger Licensing program. See the interview on EVinfo.net: https://lnkd.in/gxbHG5K3 Avanci’s EV Charger Licensing program simplifies patent licensing for connected EV chargers by offering manufacturers a single, comprehensive license for essential cellular technologies (4G, 3G, and 2G) at fair, published rates, eliminating complex negotiations with multiple patent owners. Launched in December 2023, the program now includes 47 patent owners, providing cost-effective and transparent licensing with a one-time fee per charger for its lifetime. Built on the success of its 4G Vehicle program, which covers over 100 auto brands and 175 million vehicles, Avanci brings extensive experience in one-stop licensing to the EV charging market, offering predictable licensing terms with fixed rates, providing cost stability and transparency for manufacturers. Four charger makers (ADS-TEC Energy, Easee, Eaton and GARO) are already on board as licensees. Avanci’s EV Charger program is offering early licensee reductions until December 5, 2024, marking the one-year anniversary of the program. We asked Marianne Frydenlund, Vice President at Avanci, what she believed were the key reasons for EV charger makers and network operators to choose the option of an Avanci license for the cellular technologies they use. Frydenlund gave detailed answers on the many benefits of Avanci’s EV Charger Licensing program. EVinfo.net also spoke with Niklas Rönnäng, CEO of GARO E-mobility AB. Rönnäng was instrumental in the creation of the Avanci EV Charger program, and GARO was one of the company’s first licensees. See the many reasons why Rönnäng recommends that EV charger makers sign on to Avanci’s EV Charger Licensing program. GARO is a Nordic company that manufactures and supplies electric vehicle (EV) charging stations and other charging products. The GARO Twin wallbox allows simultaneous, safe, and efficient charging for two vehicles without overloading the property’s electrical system. The LS4 charging station by GARO offers a versatile and durable solution for public EV charging.
