  • 📚 Knowledge sharing for a better future 🌟   At Gunnebo we are committed to a sustainable world.     Our Head of Sustainability Per Hökfelt doesn’t keep things to himself. He regularly participates in events to both share with and learn from the sustainability community.    🎧 Recently, Per participated in a podcast episode on sustainability hosted by SEK Svensk Exportkredit https://lnkd.in/deirHxqr   🌿 In December, Per presented on sustainability in sales and how to drive sales revenue and carbon reduction at the same time at Almi Halland’s sustainability event in Halmstad, Sweden. The event was sponsored by SEB Halland and Almi Halland and hosted at the Rowico Home showroom, which also presented on increasing sales through sustainability focus (watch Per's short video https://lnkd.in/dthM4eJU )    “I’ve gotten great feedback from the community that our approach at Gunnebo to decouple sales growth from carbon emissions growth resonates with them. It’s always a pleasure to network with others that share our values in this important field such as Jessica Hammargren, CEO of Rowico Home. Let’s keep sharing what it takes to be part of the solution together,” says Per.    #LifeatGunnebo #KnowledgeSharing #Sustainability #SustainableSales

🌟 𝗔 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗼𝗳: 𝗘𝘀𝗵𝗮 𝗣𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗹 🌟 Join us as we follow Esha Patil, our Sustainability Analyst, through her day at our Innovation Hub in Bari, Italy. From tackling greenhouse gas emissions to collaborating with teams across the organisation, Esha’s work is all about driving meaningful change and shaping a more sustainable future.   💼 What does a Sustainability Analyst do? “As a Sustainability Analyst, my role involves helping the company balance its growth with its environmental and social responsibilities. This includes calculating our greenhouse gas emissions, identifying social and ethical risks across our value chain, and collaborating with diverse teams to reduce these impacts. Another important aspect of my role is ensuring we’re ready to consistently report and track our progress in line with regulations like the CSRD.”   📅 When did you start working for Gunnebo, and why? “I joined Gunnebo Safe Storage in September 2023 as an Upskill Trainee. It was an excellent trainee programme that included a job, a buddy, the opportunity to work on a meaningful project in my field, and receiving top-quality education from ESCP. Additionally, I had the chance to learn from and interact with 14 other trainees from around the globe.   What drew me to this role was the chance to be part of the company’s sustainability journey almost from the ground up. It’s an exciting opportunity to learn and grow alongside the company while tackling the challenges and opportunities of adopting a holistic, sustainability-integrated approach to business.”   👥 What’s the best part of working at Gunnebo? “I love the dynamic nature of the work and collaborating with passionate colleagues from diverse backgrounds. There’s always something new to learn and do every day. I’m driven by the knowledge that my work contributes to meaningful change. Tackling global challenges like climate change and seeing how small actions—like reducing resource emissions or improving supply chain transparency—can add up to a bigger impact keeps me motivated.” #LifeAtGunnebo #Sustainability #GunneboSafeStorage

  • Meet Gunnebo Group Board Members   We asked our board members what fills them with pride as part of the Gunnebo Group and what values they consider essential for our success today and in the years to come. This is what Jens Browaldh, Member of the Board since 2020 and Partner at Altor, said: “I would like to highlight three key points: 1. Working as a team. As a global niche company, fostering a culture of teamwork is crucial for Gunnebo’s success. By promoting cross-functional collaboration and open communication, employees can harness diverse skills and insights, leading to innovative solutions and improved project outcomes.    2. Exceeding customer demands. Given our diverse product range and customer base, it is vital to meet or exceed customer expectations. A culture focused on listening to and understanding our customers will enable Gunnebo to tailor products and services more effectively, enhancing customer satisfaction. This approach will also bolster our innovation and product development efforts, ensuring we deliver solutions that meet customer needs.    3. Growth mindset and performance. Maintaining high ambitions in everything we do is essential. To reach our full potential, we must deliver stronger performance than ever before in Gunnebo’s history. Encouraging a growth mindset among employees through training and development will equip our staff with the latest skills and knowledge, allowing us to innovate and adapt to market changes. I’m honoured to be a part of Gunnebo’s exciting journey towards becoming a leading global provider of a safer future. We have made significant progress over the past three years and built a strong foundation. What excites me is that we have only just begun; there is so much more potential in Gunnebo! I am also proud when I get to meet our dedicated employees, whose commitment gives me confidence in Gunnebo’s bright future.” #LifeAtGunnebo #Gunnebo #MemberofBoard

🙌 Celebrating International Volunteer Day 2024   Today we recognise the selfless volunteering of people around the world. Jade Sun Thompson, Marketing Manager, Australia and New Zealand, is a shining example of the many Gunnebo employees who give back to their communities. This year, Jade hosted events in support of:    🍵Australia's Biggest Morning Tea for cancer research for the 1st time 💛 (https://lnkd.in/dK6KEH_g)    💬 R U OK? Day for mental health awareness for the 4th consecutive year 🌻 (https://lnkd.in/dCX_eaXi)      “Volunteering is something I have always valued doing, both in my professional and personal life. Being able to give back to the community by raising money and awareness provides a sense of fulfilment and reward; something I encourage everyone to try out at least once!” says Jade.    Jade also sat as a committee member for @ASIS NSW, an industry association partnership, holding the Vice Chapter Chair role and Women In Security role.    Just this week, she ran a toy and food drive for The Salvation Army Australia Red Shield for the 4th consecutive year (https://lnkd.in/df4_CFzU)     “The Red Shield Appeal is designed to collect donations of food and toys, providing them to disadvantaged families at Christmas to help them through one of the hardest times of year. Many local staff have gotten behind this imitative and we have donated 11 bags of groceries, 1 bag of toys and 4 gift vouchers for those in need – such a great result and one accomplished through the generosity of Gunnebo Team Australia!” says Jade.    At Gunnebo, we are proud to have teams that work in collaboration and with high integrity to support important initiatives for communities and society.    #InternationalVolunteerDay #VolunteerDay2024 #CommunityImpact #LifeatGunnebo #EmployeeVolunteering

  • Our business unit Gunnebo Entrance Control (GEC) is taking action to support conservation by joining the World Land Trust as a Corporate Partner. Learn how GEC is helping save at least 50 acres of land per year via the Buy an Acre programme, protecting hundreds of endangered species such as the owls pictured below. #nature #sustainability #conservation

It’s more important than ever to save what remains of our precious natural world, so we’re delighted to join World Land Trust to support front-line conservation. As a fully signed-up Corporate Partner, we’re working with the charity to fight climate change and protect threatened wildlife and habitats. Our involvement with World Land Trust sees us donate to purchase land through its landmark Buy an Acre programme. The programme supports experienced and trusted local partners to safeguard ecologically important land at threat of deforestation, urbanisation and agriculture. Much of this land serves as the last remaining haven for countless rare and spectacular species. Acre by acre, Gunnebo Entrance Control is working with WLT to preserve and protect habitats in perpetuity. Currently, the Buy an Acre programme is actioning conservation in three important sites: Kenya’s Dakatcha Woodland, South Africa’s Renosterveld and Argentina’s Somuncurá Plateau. All three areas are at risk from human activities and home to rare and endangered species at risk of extinction. Take the owls in the picture as an example. They are the diminutive Sokoke Scops Owl. Just 17cm tall, these birds live in Kenya’s Dakatcha Woodland and are on the IUCN Red List as endangered. They are being protected through the habitat preservation achieved by the Buy an Acre programme. And with hundreds more birds, mammals, amphibians, reptiles, plants and more at risk across all three projects, the work is vital in preserving these precious parts of the natural world. As a Corporate Partner of World Land Trust, we’re saving at least 50 acres of land in these projects every year. As World Land Trust Patron, Sir David Attenborough, says ‘the money that is given to World Land Trust, in my estimation, has more effect on the wild world than almost anything I can think of’. We’ll be bringing more on the projects we’re involved in, and why not follow our lead and become involved with the World Land Trust? 📸 Chris Hodgson #nature #sustainability #conservation As a Certified Signatory of The Anti-Greenwash Charter, we’re committed to transparency, accountability, fairness and honesty in our sustainability communications. If you have any worries or concerns about what you have read in this post, please visit the sustainability page on our website to register your concern.
