It’s easy to be amazed by what AI can do, by its sheer capacity. But pause for a moment and consider: every real step forward, in AI and beyond, starts with a human question. For all its “intelligence”, AI still waits for us to define the problem. In this new world of instant answers, perhaps the most precious skill isn’t finding them, but knowing how to ask the right questions, the ones that sets us on the right path. We’re now seeing a seismic shift in how technology and business work together. Recent advances in AI aren’t just about new tools, they’re changing the way we think and experience systems. Despite the risks and challenges, AI is set to transform the core of industries, businesses, services & products. We’re only just scratching the surface. Yes, today’s AI inherently ‘hallucinates’ facts and still reasons more like a clever parrot than a deep thinker. However, dismissing it because of these limits is like refusing to use a car because it can’t fly. The key is knowing where AI shines right now – finding the sweet spot where its strengths outweigh its current weaknesses in your context. We also done an AI/LLM hackathon which went way beyond the comfort zone of the AI Chatbot… It was a day filled with creativity, collaboration and a little glimpse of the future…

"Yeh, but what's the actual value of this?" If you're working at a larger organisation you're most likely judged by your immediate results. Which is fine, in many contexts. In the context of creating a hopeful long-term future for your organisation, it's not fine. There has to be wider-reaching metrics than next months results. I was reflecting on the successes (and failures) of corporate service incubation programs and what exactly "value" was. Monetary and other wise. I wrote this a few days ago.
