Lindéngruppen participated in an important global forum on children’s rights yesterday in Stockholm. Thank you to Global Child Forum for hosting the Global Child Forum 2024 and to all the participants from the world of business. We believe that sharing knowledge on how companies can put children’s rights at the heart of their sustainability strategy is increasingly important. As a long-term partner of Global Child Forum, Lindéngruppen also contributed to the new Corporate Playbook on children’s rights. The playbook provides practical advice and guidance on how businesses can incorporate children’s well-being and rights into their strategy and performance. Last week, co-workers within finance and sustainability from all Group companies met up at Bruksgården for the Lindéngruppen Finance and Sustainability Days 2024. The days included discussions on a number of joint topics such as management reporting, the new sustainability reporting legislation (CSRD), digitisation and internal control. Everyone engaged actively through the workshop focused on collaboration between finance and sustainability functions and on the development of our unique Value Creation Model. Additionally engaging was the creative session at KKAM (Ceramics, Art, Studio and Museum) where body and mind were activated through the assignment of making a tea bowl. Photo: Peter Kroon

This week, we joined Global Child Forum’s annual Partner Advisory Board meeting in Stockholm. Global Child Forum bring together global leaders from business, civil society, academia and government in order to spur action for social change around children’s rights, and Lindéngruppen has been a partner since 2016. A number of important topics regarding how business impact children was discussed and whilst some businesses have a direct impact on children, all businesses have an indirect impact on children in their value chain and by the simple fact that many of the people working in business also are parents.
On Wednesday, we held our annual Partner Advisory Board meeting, hosted at Stockholm’s Royal Palace by Their Majesties The King and Queen of Sweden. The meeting brought together key partners to discuss advancing children’s rights in business. Our new Secretary General, Ekin Björstedt, highlighted the power of partnerships and how, together, we can protect the well-being of children globally. Last week our Chair Jenny Lindén Urnes and CEO Fabio Pedrazzi had the privilege to meet with the dynamic Beckers North America team, as well as visit a strategic partner in Indiana. The road ahead is exciting! Beckers Group brings innovation and is committed to grow with its key customers in the US. Later in the week they both attended a Colart Board meeting at the North American HQ in New Jersey. Customer visits in New Jersey were insightful, as always, and what made this trip even more special was the stop at the Manufacturer's Village; the vibrant art residency in East Orange NJ, created by Colart. Great days with Christophe Sabas, Jared Ireland & team, Romain Guinier & team, Magdalena Gerger, Jean-Francois de Saussure, Ellen Lindén-Urnes and all customers. Thank you all for a fruitful week in the US.
