As we approach the end of the year, we would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. At MVIC, this year has been filled with significant milestones and challenges, and together with our board, owners and member companies, we have navigated them with resilience and innovation. We have welcomed Mats Håkansson as our new CEO. Lars Asking will continue to work with us as Head of Projects. We have also had the privilege to provide project services to several customers throughout the year. Our CRO services are the core business of MVIC, and we are truly grateful to our customers who challenge us with their projects and constantly make us improve ourselves. In October we arranged our yearly inhalation symposium, MVIC Symposium 2025, where we welcomed 115 delegates and interacted with the core of the inhalation society. Looking ahead, we have exciting opportunities on the horizon. We plan to expand our geographical coverage to include more customer companies in Asia and North America. We are also looking at expanding into biologics and large molecules which will provide new opportunities for us and our customers. Thank you for staying connected with us. During 2025, MVIC will host two trainings in Inhalation Product Development. The first occasion, MVIC Spring Training 2025, will take place on March 11-12. MVIC Training suits anyone who would like an overview of the different aspects of inhalation product development. 𝗧𝗿𝘂𝗹𝘆 𝗟𝗮𝗯𝘀 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗮 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲-𝗼𝗳-𝘁𝗵𝗲-𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗟𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 On July 1st, 2024, the preclinical CRO and MVIC partner, Truly Labs, gained access to new facilities in a brand-new state-of-the-art laboratory building for advanced research and medical development at Medicon Village. The facility has been designed by architects specialising in laboratory environments, and in close dialogue with the tenants. Truly Labs now have sole access to 1200 m2 on the top floor of building 407, containing both laboratories, offices and social space. “This enables continuous company growth and an expansion of our service offer.”, says Karin von Wachenfeldt, CEO at Truly Labs. This will also be beneficial for MVIC customers, who will be offered a wider range of services within the new facilities. In particular, the new labs will allow for further expansion of Truly Labs’ 𝘪𝘯 𝘷𝘪𝘵𝘳𝘰 services that can prepare projects for efficient and 3R optimized in vivo studies. Truly Labs will still have access to their specialised inhalation laboratories within the animal facility at Medicon Village and will continue to offer 𝘪𝘯 𝘷𝘪𝘷𝘰 inhalation studies for MVIC customers.

We had a marvellous and hectic time last week at MVIC Symposium 2024. Now, when our 115 guests have left and the last exhibitor shipment has been sent off to its returning destination, we go back to our normal CRO activities at MVIC. We are so grateful for all the people who joined our Symposium this year and contributed to make it a success. A special thanks to this year’s speakers who all held high quality talks and set the tone of the scientific discussions. A big thanks to all our sponsors who built the exhibition and to everyone who brought scientific posters. Together you made a very nice exhibition. We hope that all our visitors left MVIC Symposium 2024 with new scientific insights and with larger contact networks than when they arrived.
