  • 👉 Caring for your health is all we do 👈 these are the words that gives us strength and motivation every day. 💪 We recently had the opportunity to highlight our philanthropy gene, as Poland hosted the 33rd edition of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity. The aim of the Orchestra is to support #healthcare in the country (retrofitting hospitals, clinics) and to create and run medical and educational programmes. The Foundation supports paediatric and geriatric wards and provides them with the necessary equipment. Throughout the day, #volunteers from all over Poland raise #funds, rewarding #donors with a distinctive red heart symbol. The event is accompanied by special events such as concerts and educational activities. Funds from this year's Orchestra will be used for paediatric oncology and haematology and are currently estimated at close to PLN 180 million. 💪 This year our #employees engaged in the celebrations with full dedication, bestowing their positive energy on other participants, but also raising their #wellbeing and awareness of healthy lifestyle. A great example of our involvement is the Medicover Dental team's initiative, which offered residents of Cracow the opportunity to complete free dental check-ups. 🦷 Of course, there was no shortage of healthy education on this occasion.... We educated the younger and older Orchestra participants on how to take proper care of their teeth to avoid more serious health ailments. The word that was often used was #prophylaxis, namely: emphasis on daily hygiene. ☝️ We further encouraged people to implement elements such as regular check-ups and dental hygiene into their own ‘Smile Ritual’. This #involvement in this year's Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity brought many smiles to the faces of those who visited us in large numbers. The #smile did not come off the faces of our employees either, because we know that these spontaneous encounters and special conversations will make the smiles of us all healthier. 😁 In Warsaw, on the other hand, the Centrum Medyczne Damiana's team replicated a hospital space so that the youngest participants could gain medical knowledge and learn about the medical profession. Youngsters were able to learn proper hand disinfection, learn how human organs look and work, and understand the importance of having basic medical knowledge. 🏥 We are grateful that Medicover is made up of people with such a commitment to health. What further fills us with pride is the huge #success of this year's Orchestra. Thank you and congratulations to everyone involved! 🙌 Find more about The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity here: 👉 https://mcov.me/YEVeN

  • Our own chain of #fitness clubs and #gyms in Poland is having a hot start to the year, as the wave of fulfilling New Year's fitness resolutions continues! 💪 However, still many people – which is common for many countries – choose not to work out because they are afraid of being judged on their #appearance. It's time to put an end to that! Regular #physical activity is for everyone, regardless of appearance or athletic level. Critical to public health, prevention must go hand in hand with education and awareness building. Why not do it creatively? Can you imagine what a workout person really looks like most often after a solid workout? 🤨 Residents of Warsaw, Wroclaw, Katowice, Lodz and Poznan already know this, as they come into contact with our stereotype-breaking #outdoor campaign carried out by Well Fitness club chain. Its goal is to disenchant the ideal, often artificial image of people exercising at gyms that we see, for example, in social media.👇👀 As explained by themselves: 🗣️ here we are all equal – sweaty, tired, sometimes full of enthusiasm, and at other times struggling with lack of motivation. That's what real fitness is! 𝑊𝑒𝑙𝑙, 𝑇ℎ𝑖𝑠 𝑖𝑠 𝐹𝑖𝘵𝑛𝑒𝑠𝑠! 👌

On World Prematurity Day, we honour the incredible stories of our tiniest patients – the little warriors, and their families. These children, often born far too early, rely on the expertise and dedication of medical professionals to survive. Without modern neonatal care, many would not have a chance to thrive. Last year, we cared for 639 premature babies in our Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICUs) at Ujastek Hospital in Kraków and Medikor Hospital in Nowy Sącz. This year, on World Prematurity Day, we were lighting up our hospitals in purple – the colour that represents premature birth. 💜✨ 🔎Each year in Poland, 26,000 babies are born prematurely. Their survival is a testament to the importance of neonatal care, and to the extraordinary efforts of our healthcare teams. Across our facilities in Poland, Romania, and India, Medicover staff work tirelessly to provide life-saving care, offering support not just to the babies, but to their families as well. 💙We are incredibly proud of our teams of neonatologists, nurses, midwives, and support staff, whose professionalism and empathy make a real difference every day. It is thanks to their dedication that these little warriors have the opportunity to grow stronger and go home to their families, ready to embark on the next chapter of their lives. Let us take a moment to appreciate the vital work being done in neonatal care and continue raising awareness for the challenges faced by premature babies and their families. 🙏 #WorldPrematurityDay #LittleWarriors #NeonatalCare #Medicover #PrematurityAwareness #HealthcareHeroes

On 27-28 September, our hospital proudly hosted live-streamed urological surgeries during the esteemed Progress in Uro-Oncology conference, coordinated by Prof. Dr. Nicolae Crișan and Prof. Dr. Ioan Coman. Since 2009, this conference has been a key event for the urology community. 🎯The conference focused on minimally invasive techniques, such as robotic-assisted surgery and 3D laparoscopy, which are transforming urological cancer treatment by reducing recovery times and improving outcomes. 🏥As hosts, we facilitated live broadcasts from the operating theatre, allowing attendees to witness cutting-edge surgical techniques in real time. The sessions showcased the potential of robotic surgery for prostate, kidney, and bladder cancers, highlighting the need for ongoing integration of new technologies in urological practices. 📢 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘥𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘭𝘰𝘱𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘶𝘳𝘰𝘭𝘰𝘨𝘺 𝘪𝘴 𝘳𝘰𝘰𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘢𝘥𝘰𝘱𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘰𝘧 𝘯𝘦𝘸 𝘵𝘦𝘤𝘩𝘯𝘰𝘭𝘰𝘨𝘪𝘦𝘴.
