Among those who follow the work within C2B2 is Mattias Rust, interviewed in the research program's latest newsletter. He is a chancellor at the Government Office, attached to the Ministry of Rural Affairs and Infrastructure under Minister Andreas Carlson. An official with specialized knowledge in the field in which C2B2 operates. – Yes, I am a marine biologist at heart and worked for a while in research, he says.

The new blue initiative is transforming ocean use with innovative built-up seascapes. En glidare … inget som var och en har hört talas om. Men det är vad en grupp på forskningslaboratoriet Chalmers REVERE på Lindholmen i Göteborg håller på att bygga inom ramen för forskningsprogrammet C2B2. Glidaren är en typ av autonomt mätinstrument för undervattensbruk (AUV) som ska kunna vara ute i havet i månader och dyka upp och ner för att samla in information om olika parametrar genom att följa en förutbestämd färdväg. I ett utgångsläge kommer det att handla om vattentemperaturer och salthalter på varierande djup, men den kan förses med olika sensorer beroende på vilken data som efterfrågas. A glider… not something that everyone has heard of. However, that is what a group at Chalmers REVERE research laboratory at Lindholmen in Gothenburg is building as part of the C2B2 research program. The glider is a type of autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) that will be able to stay out in the ocean for months and dive up and down to collect information about various parameters by tracing a given path. Initially, it will be about water temperatures and salinity at varying depths, but it can be equipped with different sensors depending on what data is required. https://lnkd.in/dsJGXJDu

Do you work with #ocean #data? In C2B2 we do! For the sustainable blue economy, ocean data is absolutely essential. Ocean Data Factory Sweden conducts a yearly survey, targeting anyone in an organisation based in Sweden and/or working with Swedish data. (collection, ingestion, processing, analysis, usage, output) The aim is to highlight the trends, technologies, and challenges in using ocean data in Sweden.   The survey is anonymous, with 32 multiple choice questions. C2B2 is looking forward to use the results.
