Greener buildings, bigger profits. Predium makes it happen. 🌿💸 Here’s the scoop: Nearly 40% of CO2 emissions come from real estate. That’s a HUGE chunk. That’s why real estate owners have to decarbonise. Those who do? Their property values can jump by up to a third. Those who don’t? They face drops of up to 40%. The catch? Decarbonising is often expensive and slow, leaving many buildings stuck in the past. But our latest portfolio company is here to change that. 🚀 Predium’s intelligence platform for real estate identifies the fastest, smartest, and most cost-effective ways to decarbonise buildings—boosting property value, slashing emissions, and proving that sustainability isn’t just good for the planet—it’s good business. 💰 We’re excited to welcome Jens Thumm, Maximilian Körner, Mohamed Ali Razouane and the rest of Predium to the Norrsken VC family! 🎉 🔗 Tech Funding News https://lnkd.in/eu3sWxef 🔗 Norrsken VC blog: https://lnkd.in/dnkUnbzM

Exactly this. 👏 To all the bold founders out there—keep building!
Like many of you, I received the news yesterday about Northvolt filing for reconstruction/Chapter 11. This will likely be a long process with an uncertain outcome. Norrsken VC was an early investor via one of our funds, and while setbacks like this are an inherent part of transformative innovation, they’re no less painful—especially when they impact livelihoods and a vision as bold as driving the EV revolution forward. But let’s make one thing clear: regardless of outcome, their work hasn’t been for nothing. Founder Peter Carlsson, who announced he’s stepping down as CEO, and the rest of Northvolt have laid a foundation for others to build on, and this news doesn’t overshadow the enormous potential of the industry they helped shape. Climate tech companies are not immune to the macroeconomic headwinds that have affected nearly every sector in recent years. Yet as an industry, climate tech remains uniquely positioned to lead in both growth and impact in the years ahead. Sustainability is no longer just a mega trend—it’s a mega demand. Over 100 countries, representing 82% of global emissions, have committed to net-zero targets, and 80% of Europe’s largest companies now have actionable plans to achieve those goals (and I could go on). This represents the biggest demand shift in modern history. It’s reshaping the future of business, and the companies rising to meet this demand will become the winners of the next economy. We need more founders and companies to create the supply for this extraordinary demand. This is exactly why we at Norrsken VC—together with our investors—have built Europe’s largest portfolio of impact-driven companies. Not every trailblazer will make it, and that’s part of the deal. But the lessons they leave behind will enable the next generation of companies to power the world for decades to come. Founders, keep pushing!

Heavy industry is about to get a lighter footprint! 🌍 It’s the foundation of our society. And we need it to build a sustainable future—but we don’t need the massive energy consumption and emissions that come with it. Heavy industry stands for a quarter of global energy use, and it’s one of the toughest sectors to decarbonise. But tough challenges are where breakthroughs happen. Introducing our latest investment: juna.ai 🚀 The AI solution that replaces outdated, rigid control systems with real-time optimisation. It finds the perfect machine settings on the fly, slashing energy use. Tons of emissions cut, millions of euros saved. Sustainability and profitability—working together, as they always should. Welcome to the Norrsken VC family, Matthias Auf der Mauer, Christian Hardenberg, and everyone at juna.ai!⚡ 🔗 TechCrunch: https://lnkd.in/dtyGC5uf 🔗 Norrsken VC blog: https://lnkd.in/dYDXzZcw

AGM 2024 is now in the books! 🔥 Norrsken House Barcelona set the stage for a day full of reflection, celebration, and some seriously big ideas. We looked back on a wild year—closing Europe’s largest early-stage impact fund, doubling down on our key regions, and building the biggest impact portfolio on the market. Not bad. From cutting-edge insights to rockstar portfolio deep dives, it was a day that reminded us exactly why we do this. Susanna Campbell from Syre showed us how sustainable solutions can crush unsustainable ones. Magnus Drewelies spilled CEEZER's secret sauce for thriving in tough markets. And Pol Valls Soler gave us a front-row seat to how Submer is powering greener AI factories. If this year taught us anything, it’s this: Sustainability isn’t just a mega trend—it’s a mega demand, and it’s shaping the future of business in real time. Bring on 2025. 🚀
