Last week, we finally introduced Snap, a new generation of chairs, for Profim, who is part of the Flokk group. Snap emerged from a shared commitment to innovation and sustainability. The chair’s snap-together system allows quick, tool-free assembly and disassembly, simplifying the user experience while reducing material use and waste. In collaboration with Profim, we redefined contract furniture by blending contemporary residential warmth with the practical needs of public spaces. The frame supports the plush upholstery, balancing comfort and structure. We emphasized the separation between the frame and upholstery to highlight their interaction and showcase Snap’s detachable design. Crafted for the contract market, Snap combines adaptability with circular production principles. Its design facilitates easy recycling and part replacement, extending the chair’s lifespan and minimizing environmental impact. By streamlining assembly and using sustainable materials, Snap sets a new standard for modern workplaces and reflects our vision of practical, innovative design. #notedesignstudio #profim #flokk #snap

During last June 3daysofdesign, we at Note Design Studio were excited to introduce our collaboration with Audo Copenhagen, presenting a revitalized vision for Audo House. Based on a concept under the name ‘SHINE A LIGHT,’ with our design, we celebrated Audo’s Nordic roots and the arrival of Scandinavia’s summer light. Together, we introduced a fresh and light approach to space design, featuring an updated palette of colors, materials, and fabrics. At last week 3daysofdesign we presented ”Instantánea,” an immersive exhibition designed and curated by our studio for Vibia The event invited visitors to explore the interplay of light and life, showcasing Vibia’s innovative lighting solutions. ”Instantánea,” which translates to ‘snapshot’ in Spanish, aims to capture fleeting moments and transform them into enduring experiences through the magic of light. The exhibition designed to strip life-like scenarios of their complexities, revealing pure, abstract forms that highlight the essence of everyday moments. This installation encourages visitors to pause, touch, and immerse themselves in the atmosphere created by Vibia’s lighting. By using light to shape perceptions and emotions, the exhibition illustrates how Vibia’s lights serve as companions in our daily narratives, enhancing each scene they illuminate. As part of our long lasting collaboration, we have once again partnered with Tarkett to create the iQ Loop collection — the brand’s most circular vinyl floor ever. The product is made using old floors (a minimum of 65% post-consumer waste) — supplied by customers. The collection introduces an innovative approach to collection and re-use, employs design to shift perceptions regarding waste, and serves as a demonstration of the collaborative strength between clients and producers. The project was also an opportunity to expand our imaginations around material constraints. The natural colour produced when mixing Tarkett’s recycled vinyl floors is grey and we decided to use this as a strength, fine-tuning grey into different shades to celebrate its diversity. We also discovered that when mixing vinyl granules with a transparent powder, a new pattern emerged — creating a beautiful depth and revealing each individual granule. As part of the commission, we designed a keepsake sample box that combines tactile appeal with sustainable production. The iQ Loop vinyl samples, for this purpose downsized, are housed in a compact box produced in the south of Sweden, near Tarkett's facilities in Ronneby. This physical packaging is linked with online information, reducing the need for extra material. Inspired by the natural grey of iQ Loop, the box is crafted from 100% recycled premium board, achieving a warm hue from the paper recycling process. #notedesignstudio #Tarkett #Circularity
