𝗔𝗱𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗳𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 (𝗔𝗠) 𝗼𝗳 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗲𝘅𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿𝘀 is increasingly popular in aerospace due to its ability to create thin-walled structures with high heat-transfer efficiency. Key materials used include stainless steel, titanium, aluminum, copper, and nickel alloys. However, challenges remain in achieving optimal mechanical properties. Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIP) is an essential post-processing step that addresses these issues by eliminating shrinkage porosity and internal defects, improving fatigue resistance and strength. Recent advancements in HIP technology now integrate argon gas quenching within the HIP cycle, enabling in-situ solution heat treatment (SHT) and aging during processing. This combined approach enhances productivity, reduces distortion, improves corrosion resistance, and yields a superior surface finish. Earlier this week, we proudly shipped our largest-ever Cold Isostatic Press (CIP) from Västerås, Sweden, to China. This giant press, with an impressive vessel dimension of 2400 x 4500 mm, is now en route to Henan Lingchuang Special Material Co., where it will play a pivotal role in producing high-end isostatic graphite. Quintus Technologies debuted its new QIF 600L High Pressure Processing (HPP) system which offers a 600-liter cycle capacity, making it the largest in the industry, according to the company The system can process 6,860 lbs to 9,140 lbs of product, including #petfood, per hour. “With the addition of the scalable QIF 600L, we now have a gamut of state-of-the-art, high-performance press models that give processors of all sizes a competitive edge,” said Johan Hjärne, CEO of Quintus.
