We’re excited to share that the SITA project took centre stage at the European Materials Research Society (E-MRS) Fall Meeting 2024 in Warsaw! We organised a special session titled “Transparent Back Contacts and Wide-Gap Chalcogenides” as part of the "Thin Film Chalcogenide Photovoltaic Materials" symposium. 📢 New Publication: #SITA was featured on #SolarRRL - a green energy journal covering all aspects of solar energy conversion, published by Wiley. The work evaluates In2O3:W as a transparent back contact material in wide-gap (Ag,Cu)(In,Ga)Se2 solar cells for potential application as a top cell in a tandem device. INL - member of SITA - was featured on a national TV prime-time special report on photovoltaics ☀️ At #SITA, we are exploring innovative concepts for tandem solar cells towards a sustainable, resilient, and inclusive energy future. Sascha Sadewasser – SITA responsible at INL – states that "to enable Cu(In,Ga)Se2 thin-film solar cells for tandem applications requires transparent contacts, which have been challenging to realize so far. #SITA consortium met this week at Zentrum für Sonnenenergie- und Wasserstoff-Forschung Baden-Württemberg (ZSW) for the 5th consortium meeting. The two-day assembly was an insightful exercise to discuss the project's progress and the perfect opportunity to exchange ideas and explore synergies among the partners.
