We’re excited to share that the SITA project took centre stage at the European Materials Research Society (E-MRS) Fall Meeting 2024 in Warsaw! We organised a special session titled “Transparent Back Contacts and Wide-Gap Chalcogenides” as part of the "Thin Film Chalcogenide Photovoltaic Materials" symposium. The session attracted over 70 experts in the field of photovoltaics, with presentations sparking intense discussions on groundbreaking solar cell technologies, including innovative ohmic and hole-selective back contacts, as well as advances in selenide and sulfide-based absorbers. ☀ Special congratulations to PhD student Ceren Mitmit from Empa for winning a Poster Award for her work on the SITA project! 👏 The consortium is proud to have played a key role in advancing discussions on transparent back contacts and wide-gap chalcogenides, contributing to the future of solar energy technologies 💡♻️ read full story ⤵ https://lnkd.in/gs7KRa7r Stay tuned for more updates on how we’re contributing to a cleaner, greener future: https://lnkd.in/dc_vddzY EU Science, Research and Innovation | European Commission #HorizonEU #CIGS #EMRS #Photovoltaics #SolarCells #SITA #SustainableEnergy #EMRS2024 #Chalcogenides #RenewableEnergy #Photovoltaics
