🎉 Today we celebrated the conclusion of an almost year long journey within the #10xHealth life science scaleup program, with inspiration from Martin Stenfeldt and Anna Philipson♦️ from Good Accelerator helping the companies reflect on the past year, and putting forward the companies aspirations for the next phase of growth. Martin shared some of the findings of his upcoming book in scaling up life science companies, with interesting conclusions and models for the participants to reflect on.   📈10xHealth is a scaleup program targeting life science growth companies in southern Sweden (Skåne and Blekinge) and is developed by SmiLe Venture Hub and Medicon Village with partial funding from the European Regional Development Fund. The participants of the pilot program 2024 are Iconovo AB, Neola Medical, Uman Sense, Paindrainer AB, NanoEcho AB, and Cyxone.   🚀The next iteration of the program will commence in August 2025, and will be open for applications in January 2025. 👉 Meet Muscle Bug, one of the exciting companies in SmiLe's very first Foodtech Bootcamp! 🚀 #MuscleBug with CEO Micael Berg is on a mission to tackle a major global challenge: transforming #MycotoxinContaminated grain into valuable #AnimalFeed. Today, more than 20% of grain is rendered unusable due to mycotoxins. Muscle Bug has developed an innovative process to turn this waste into a sustainable protein source for animal feed: The contaminated grain is pre-treated to make it suitable for insect feed. The insects then neutralize the harmful toxins as they grow, producing a large, nutrient-rich biomass – that becomes a sustainable, protein-packed feed for fish and poultry. This pioneering solution not only addresses #FoodWaste but also contributes to creating more #sustainable feed alternatives. 🚀 The ATMP Sweden Conference 2024 has just kicked off, this year hosted over two inspiring days in Malmö! SmiLe’s CEO, Ulrika Ringdahl, welcomed the participants as the #industry representative, alongside Gisela Helenius from #healthcare and Anna Falk from #academia. 🌟   #ATMP (cell and gene therapy) holds immense promise to revolutionize medicine, offering cures where none existed before. 🌟🥬🥬 SmiLe company TekInn AB’s technology is now being used on a larger scale together with Greenfood Group, something that the magazine Livsmedel i fokus is now highlighting. Tekinn's unique fermentation technology is being used to turn 400 tons of cabbage scraps into valuable raw material. This has the potential to reshape the map for future food systems and their waste streams, and, not least, strengthen the business sector.
