HOW TO BECOME A SUPER EARTH-SAVER 🌱 🌍 Watch yesterday’s food waste be reduced by 80-95% into organic, highly potent fertilizer, great for growing organic food. We also make small pellets, nutrition sticks and growing pots from the fertilizer. The nutrition stick is put into a plant or a flower. In contact with water it slowly releases nutrition onto the plant. The pots are made of 80% paper and 20% compost mass. That way the fertilizer is inside the pot, feeding the roots of the plant from the pot itself. When the seed has become a plant, the whole pot is put into the soil. The process works quickly. Meet Heikki Sojakka! 🌿 Heikki has over 30 years of experience in innovative materials, particularly in the paper industry. At his lab in Markaryd, he has long worked with forest fibers and has recently explored how to use agricultural fibers for new innovative solutions. In 2016, Heikki met our CEO, Patrik, at an automation fair in Gothenburg. What began as a shared interest in sustainability has blossomed into a collaboration where they are now developing biodegradable plant pots made from the fertilizer produced by Solserv's composting machines. His creative thinking has led to significant breakthroughs. These include helping Carlsberg develop their new paper bottle, and creating the first compostable growing mat for agriculture, which can be plowed directly into the soil.
