From March to May 2025, mentors and mentees will embark on a transformative journey of learning and growth. Each mentor-mentee pair will meet 3 times to explore topics tailored to their needs—ranging from personal development to professional growth. But that’s not all! Synapse will host exciting workshops and networking sessions for both mentors and mentees, giving everyone the tools to strengthen their profiles and expand their networks. 🌐 🤝 Who can become a mentor? Meet Our Upcoming Speakers! 🎉 We’re excited to introduce Christin Bexelius and Elena Hoffer, PhD, two distinguished speakers joining us to share their insights on PhDs ! We have the pleasure to announce Christin Bexelius as a speaker! She finished her PhD at Karolinska Institutet at the Department of Medical Epidemiology and Biostatistics. Afterwards, she became involved in Roche Pharma. Currently, she works there as the Portfolio Strategy and Network Leader We’re also thrilled to welcome Elena Hoffer, PhD as one of our esteemed speakers! With a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Biotechnology, Elena has a PhD from Karolinska Institutet on the topic of T cells in the skin. Meet Our Upcoming Speakers! 🎉 We’re excited to introduce Professor Gunilla Karlsson Hedestam and Armando Cázares-Körner, two distinguished speakers joining us to share their insights on PhDs ! Gunilla Karlsson Hedestam earned her PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Oxford, then she became a postdoctoral fellow at Harvard’s Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Currently a Professor at Karolinska Institutet, her research focuses on how B and T cell receptor genes influence immune responses. She also serves as Chair of the Nobel Committee for Physiology or Medicine. We look forward to hearing her insights and career journey. Armando Cázares-Körner earned his PhD in Chemistry from University College London, specializing in biocatalysis and analytical chemistry. After postdoctoral research in cancer studies at Oxford and Karolinska Institutet, he became Head of Community at The Park in Forskaren, focusing on connecting academia, healthcare, and industry in the Hagastaden life science district.
