Are you working in the textile value chain? We are looking for open-minded partners to explore different paths ♻️️ Only 1% of all materials used in clothing are recycled back into new textiles. The reason? The value chain for post-consumer textiles is still immature. To scale circular textile recycling, we need stronger collaboration across the entire value chain – from collection to new product development. Now, we are looking for exploration partners: ▪️Designers creating circular solutions ▪️Material suppliers developing sustainable fibres ▪️Nonwoven producers transforming sorted textiles into new applications – Prototyping and Nonwoven is our core expertise at lab scale ▪️Post-processing experts (e.g., pressing, finishing) Why does collaboration across the value chain matter? The demand for recycled and bio-based materials is growing fast, and by working together, we can develop scalable, future-proof solutions and unlock new business opportunities. Visit www.loopfactory.se and send us a message to explore how to drive change together! #TextileRecycling #CircularEconomy #Collaboration #SustainableInnovation #Nonwoven #SecondaryRawMaterials #Prototyping #Partnerships #Innovation #TheLoopFactory #FutureOfMaterials #WeCreateAndInfluenceSystemicChangeForAHealthyPlanet

The fun lab clean-up day! 😄 After exciting projects and a whirlwind of innovation, yesterday was the day our prototype lab got a well-deserved deep clean! 🧹 It is always a good feeling to tidy up and reset for new and exciting ideas that are on their way to the lab. We believe in failing faster to scale faster. In our prototype lab, bold ideas quickly become prototypes—because speed and creativity go hand in hand. And the best part? Every step of the journey is fun and exciting, especially when we collaborate! Got an idea?💡 Book an inspiration session via our website or drop us a message here on LinkedIn. #Innovation #Sustainability #Prototyping #CircularMaterials #Nonwoven #SecondaryRawMaterials #Collaboration #TheLoopFactory #PrototypeLab #PilotLab #MaterialScience #WeCreateAndInfluenceSystemicChangeForAHealthyPlanet

Celebrating The Power of Wool and Swedish Innovation at Formex🐑✨ We had the opportunity to showcase a contribution at the Formex exhibition, where design meets sustainability. Thanks to Arena svensk ull for creating this space for us 🤗 We brought samples of blankets made of Swedish wool from our SnOWWOol Project. These blankets are more than textiles—they are part of a groundbreaking solution designed to insulate and preserve snow between seasons in a more sustainable way than current solutions ❄️ You may want to ask why wool, and why Swedish wool. The answer lies in wool's natural brilliance. It is renewable, recyclable, and has incredible properties, such as thermal insulation, moisture regulation, and flame resistance. By choosing Swedish wool, we reduce transport emissions, support local craftsmanship, and strengthen the circular economy. We are also addressing a critical issue: did you know that 50% of Sweden's wool goes unused despite its incredible potential? Our carding and needle loom machines efficiently process wool into high-quality materials. These tools are essential for turning raw wool into products that support sustainability and design innovation. Send us a message or leave a comment below—we’d love to hear your thoughts and discuss the future of sustainable materials and design! #Formex2025 #Sustainability #SwedishWool #TheLoopFactory #SnOWWOol #CircularEconomy #EcoDesign #Innovation #TextileFuture #Nonwoven #NeedleFelt #Wool #PrototypeLab #FutureOfMaterials #WeCreateAndInfluenceSystemicChangeForAHealthyPlanet

Are you ready for the future of textile waste in the EU?♻️ The EU's Textile Waste Directive will require all member states to implement separate textile waste collection systems. This is a transformative milestone in the fight against fast fashion's environmental impact, and the directive challenges us to rethink what we throw away and how we produce, consume, and repurpose textiles. But let's be real—change isn't easy. As individuals, we must shift our habits: mending, swapping, and buying mindfully. We believe collaboration is the key—businesses, governments, and individuals must unite to make this directive a reality. Help us inspire others by sharing your thoughts and voting in the poll 🙏 #Sustainability #TextileWaste #CircularEconomy #Innovation #SecondaryRawMaterials #TextileInnovation #Collaboration #TheLoopFactory #FutureOfMaterials #WeCreateAndInfluenceSystemicChangeForAHealthyPlanet

Building a circular future—one panel at a time 🛠️ What if every material used in construction could have a second or third, or who knows, a forever life? We have been working towards this vision as part of the Re:Fab Project (funded by Vinnova)—and now that the project has concluded, we are thrilled to share some of the results! Key highlights: 1. Parametric Design in Action: We developed custom-tailored solutions for acoustic panels designed to meet specific needs for classrooms, offices, or meeting rooms. Algorithms helped us model sound reflection, absorption, and diffusion for optimal performance. 2. Circular Thinking: Materials that would have been discarded can now repurposed into high-value products, demonstrating the power of a circular value chain. 3. Scalable Solutions: Through collaboration and groundbreaking manufacturing technologies, we paved the way for innovations that can benefit not just construction but other industries. Together with our fantastic partners—Saint-Gobain Ecophon AB, LINK Arkitektur, Decibel by Johanson, Logtrade Technology, and Lund University— we have explored transforming construction and demolition materials in glass wool into innovative, resource-efficient products. This was not just about recycling—it was about reimagining how we use materials and aligning sustainability with performance and design ✨ Your role in circularity💬 Every renovation and project creates opportunities to rethink and reuse materials. What possibilities do you see for collaboration to take the next step toward a circular future? Leave a comment below and start the conversation!
