Yesterday, Nina Rawal, Partner at Trill Impact Advisory and Co-head of Ventures, moderated the #LifeScience track at Join Sweden Summit, arranged by Business Sweden. The event, hosted by Sweden’s Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson, with support from HRH Prince Daniel, Jacob Wallenberg and eight government ministers, highlighted Sweden's commitment to innovation, global collaboration and the long-term focus on people and planet. The life science track, hosted by Health Minister Acko Ankarberg Johansson, showcased the strength and diversity of the Swedish life science sector, emphasizing the importance of collaboration across stakeholders and international borders. “It was an inspiring event, emphasizing that partnership is the new leadership. The summit underscored Sweden's dedication to innovation, and international cooperation, particularly within the life sciences”, commented Nina.

At IPEM last week, Korbinian Knoblach, Partner & Co-Head of Buyout at Trill Impact Advisory, had the opportunity to participate in interesting discussions relating to deal momentum, valuation & capital deployment, buy-and-build vs. new strategies, market dynamics, and how these trends will shape the future of Pan-European dealmaking in 2025. Last week during the annual J.P. Morgan Healthcare Conference in San Francisco, Nina Rawal, Partner at Trill Impact Advisory and Co-head of Ventures, had the opportunity to discuss women’s health at a roundtable hosted by the US government agency Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H). The agency focuses on accelerating innovation in health and has supported biomedical and health breakthroughs with >USD 1bn over the past years. They’re also collaborating with key organizations such as the FDA to reduce regulatory hurdles, driving their mission forward. At the roundtable, Nina emphasized the need for a streamlined regulatory path that reduces time and cost of clinical development, drawing parallels to successful examples from other disease areas that were previously plagued by lack of innovation.

We are glad to announce the appointment of Björn Brixer as the new CFO of Trill Impact. Björn brings significant expertise to the Trill Impact team, with leadership experience from large international organizations and extensive knowledge within private equity.    Most recently, Björn comes from Diaverum (former Gambro Healthcare) where he has served as CFO for almost ten years. His professional experience also includes private equity investing at Bridgepoint and ABN AMRO as well as investment banking advisory services at Credit Suisse and Alfred Berg in London and Stockholm respectively. We are confident that Björn’s diversified and well-experienced financial profile will strengthen our finance function and support Trill Impact’s growth further.
