Today, we’re adding trains to BlaBlaCar in Spain 🚈 I’m happy to announce that BlaBlaCar now offers train bookings in Spain from operators Renfe and iryo on its platform. Making BlaBlaCar the first platform in Spain to offer carpooling, bus, and train bookings in one single place. We began with a simple vision for this all-in-one approach. We launched a pilot program last summer with Iryo and the results showed that adding train bookings didn’t just stand alone - They actually boosted demand for carpooling. Bringing all modes of transport in one app expands travel possibilities for people. Trains and buses serve main routes with over 1400 train stations in the entire country. While carpooling connects 115 000 meeting points across Spain; especially in smaller towns and areas with limited transportation options. This is the first step in integrating trains into our multimodal journey, and while our team explores other markets, my obsession is to make carpooling even more door-to-door, enabling a seamless intermodal experience on BlaBlaCar in the future. Some days at work are better than others... We are thrilled to announce that we have secured EUR 50M in funding to fuel our profitable expansion. This milestone is significant for us for two reasons. Firstly, it is proof that our business model has earned the trust of conservative debt investors. Today, we are excited to announce that Flo has secured over $200 million from the globally renowned equity firm, General Atlantic, which manages assets exceeding $80 billion. With this investment, Flo has reached a valuation of over $1 billion, achieving unicorn status. We are proud to share that one in four women in the United States use Flo. It is the most downloaded app in the Health & Fitness category, and as of June 2024, it supports nearly 70 million monthly active users and close to 5 million paid subscribers. Additionally, millions of children have been born with the help of Flo. For me, this achievement is particularly meaningful as it demonstrates that great success can be built on products that truly benefit people. I am especially happy that it was Charles F. Feeney, an American entrepreneur and philanthropist, who founded General Atlantic. He has been a uniquely influential figure with a tremendous impact on the world and Flo could not have wanted a better partner than his legacy General Atlantic. We are confident that the past ten years, from my initial idea in an Excel sheet to becoming the world’s largest health app, are just the beginning for Flo. With our new partners, we’re excited to elevate Flo to new level and fulfill our mission to revolutionize women's healthy.

VNV Global AB portfolio company BlaBlaCar closes EUR 100 mln financing BlaBlaCar also announced it closed 2023 with EUR 253 mln in revenues, representing a 29% increase from the previous year. Having been profitable for the last 24 months, BlaBlaCar shared that they closed 2023 with positive EBITDA. By optimizing empty seats in cars and buses and encouraging shared travel, BlaBlaCar also helped reduce the carbon footprint of travel by 2 million tonnes of CO2 only in 2023. VNV Global exits its investments in Booksy, Tise, James Edition and Carla for a total consideration of up to USD 58 mln, of which USD 52 mln is paid at closing VNV Global’s CEO Per Brilioth comments: ”We are glad to announce this transaction, raising a meaningful amount of cash and strengthening our balance sheet. We also take comfort in the fact that the pricing of the transaction is close to our previously reported NAV and see it as a proof point of our valuation approach across the portfolio. 2023 was Flo's biggest year to date. Here's why. Last year, we made great strides towards our ambition of building a better future for female health: - Flo's monthly active users grew by 12 million — from 48M to 60M, surpassing 10M in the United States - We donated over 11M free Flo Premium subscriptions to improve health literacy in countries where it is most needed - We were the largest health app globally in terms of MAU and installs for the 4th year in a row - Annual revenue grew to over $140m – a 40% increase on 2022, with December ARR surpassing $192m. We aim to grow this number by 50% in 2024. - In Q4, Flo reached profitability and is now a fully self-sustainable company. Our hardworking team also launched two groundbreaking new features: 🔎 Symptom Checker — to help women identify if their symptoms might be connected with a reproductive health condition like PCOS or Endometriosis 💞 Flo for Partners (our most requested feature ever!) — to help women educate their partners about their cycle health Another huge highlight was learning that Flo’s’ Anonymous Mode won the prestigious Time Innovation Award and the Fast Company World Changing Ideas Award.
