Working as a Software Engineer at Sectra Medical Education

Our engineers ensure that Sectra can effectively deliver products that solve the right problems for our end-users. We want our solutions to be perceived as easy-to-use, easy-to-deploy, future-proof and effective, and pride ourselves in truly understanding our customers' environment and needs.

Our DevOps team is organized into an agile, self-organized group with a shared passion for technology who together are responsible for both the design, implementation, delivery and quality of our products.

Join our team and you will:

• Use C# and .NET, React with TypeScript and MongoDB
• Work with Azure cloud infrastructure and optimization
• Make meaningful decisions as a team on a product that is expected to grow quickly in complexity and maturity in the coming years and evolve our way of working – we have a continuous drive to learn and excel
• Work closely with our customers, users, sales and customer operations colleagues worldwide for fast and continuous feedback during all phases of development.

Life at Sectra

We take what we do seriously and prioritize the work ourselves after input from customers and stakeholders at Sectra. However, we like to have fun as well and want and encourage all our employees to explore their own ideas. For example, every six weeks, a two day “RAD Friday” is arranged where all our engineers have the opportunity to work on their own ideas. Ideas that often are incorporated into our products.

Take this opportunity to also work with different cultures. We have customers in over 60 countries, and an Education team that consists of colleagues from Europe, Americas, Africa and Asia. All members of the DevOps team are based in Linköping.

In addition to these abilities, we also want you to:

• Have a Master’s degree within engineering, IT or similar with a strong academic record
• Have a strong interest in new and innovative technology and software development
• Be fluent in English both verbally and written
• Be a strong problem solver in being able to break down and solve complex problems
• Be a strong communicator
• Value customer contact and thrive in a fast-paced technological environment
  
  

We consider it a great asset if you:

• Have experience with Azure cloud platforms and services and API design
• Speak more languages than those required above
• Have interests besides school/work, such as sports, music, horseback riding, singing or flying for example
