👏🇺🇳 Our warmest congratulations to SI leadership programme alumna Aya Chebbi. On 23 October 2024, she was appointed UN Global Champion on Conflict-Related Sexual Violence and Youth Liaison by UN Special Representative and Deputy Secretary-General, Ms. Pramila Patten. In 2014, Aya Chebbi participated in the SI Young Leaders Visitors Programme in Stockholm. 🇸🇪 We are honoured to follow her important leadership and remarkable work as she continues to make an impact. The appointment took place during a special ceremony at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. 💬 ’Ms. Chebbi will support the mandate’s work as our youth liaison. She is a remarkable leader who has mobilized young people around the world to bring about meaningful change. 🚀🌏 We’re celebrating the final gathering of Impact Pioneers '24 and the 63 global leaders who took part in this pilot initiative to strengthen the global ecosystem for impact entrepreneurship. The programme brought together representatives from organisations across the public and private sectors, academia, and civil society from 22 countries. Together, they’ve shared experiences and connected around the central theme of Enabling Impact Entrepreneurship. The programme culminated in “Sweden Week,” where leaders from 22 countries convened in Stockholm for: 💡 Visits to innovation hubs such as Norrsken, Epicenter Stockholm and Sting. 💡 Participation in TECHARENA Zero, where the cohort co-hosted an international pavillion and took part in roundtable discussions. 💡 Networking with #TeamSweden members, including the Kommerskollegium | National Board of Trade Sweden, Vinnova, Sida, Business Sweden and Swedfund International, to exchange perspectives on entrepreneurship as a driver of the green transition and sustainable development overall. 💡 Engaging with other entrepreneurship enablers in the Swedish Ecosystem, such as the Stockholm School of Entrepreneurship, Stockholms universitet, SSE Business Lab, Linköping Science Park and Dalarna Science Park. 💬 The Swedish ecosystem and policy is truly supportive of entrepreneurship, I hope to see similar approaches implemented in Indonesia in the future, said Nindi Kusama, CEO of the impact incubator Ylabs in Indonesia. 🙌 Impact Pioneers '24 is rooted in the principle of partnership: the more we support each other, the stronger our collective impact in empowering entrepreneurs worldwide. This wonderful group of civil society leaders just finished SI Leader Lab Sweden week! 👏 Their stay in Stockholm included: 🌱 Exploring and developing their leadership skills. 💡 Collaboration, ideation and creation around advocacy. ✨ Learning innovative advocacy methods and creative processes to overcome everyday challenges in their civil society work. 🗨️ Networking, sharing experiences, and building new knowledge with peers. One highlight was a networking event on Monday with 200 guests, where our participants built new connections with representatives from Swedish civil society.
