Aqualita harnesses effective and efficient aquaculture production to alleviate food security and sustainability needs.
About us
Aqualita is a modern aquaculture company focused on enabling a world in which aquaculture production can be urbanised efficiently and cost-effectively, to alleviate food security and sustainability needs. We have developed a miniaturised Recirculating Aquaculture System (RAS) that can be scaled and stacked quickly and easily, enabling fish production with a small footprint, anywhere in the world. This also localises food production, allowing for better food resilience within the community, and insulation against supply disruption scenarios. Through harnessing the power of life sciences in urban aquaculture, Aqualita is able to increase food production, while ensuring the environment is better and sustainable for all.

Thank you everyone for your support! 💕 It has been a great launch! Fish vendors are still selling fresh Jade Perch every weekend, be sure to get them fast! 🤗 #Aqualita #FreshFish #Aquaculture #Ecotechnology
Joined Tampines Town Council Chairman Desmond Choo to harvest jade perch from Our Fish Storey, right here in Tampines! The 20-foot container is located next to the Round Market and can produce up to 1,400 kg of jade perch annually. Using resource-efficient and climate-resistant farming methods, it is one of the Tampines Goes Farming initiatives, and contributes to Singapore’s 30 by 30 vision for our local food produce, as well as Tampines as an Eco-Town. The sustainably farmed fish is on sale on weekends at the following stalls at Tampines Round Market: 🐟 #01-105 🐟 #01-109 🐟 #01-107 🐟 #01-133 The fish is literally within metres from their farm to the market. How fresh can you get! Do support our local farmer, Aqualita Ecotechnology. #tampinestowncouncil #ilovetampines #tampinestogether #ActionForGreenTowns

Aqualita is proud to announce the successful harvest of fish at Tampines. A meaningful project in collaboration with Tampines Town Council and with the support of Temasek Foundation. This made fresh fish easily and directly accessible to local community. Aqualita's innovative fish farming solution, enables high density fish rearing within an urban space, in a controlled manner. It operates with low overheads and is almost self-sufficient. Being modular in design, this solution comes with a 1 tank system (as in the one Tampines) and a 6-to-1 tanks system. With the 6-to-1 tanks system, it is highly cost effective with high volume of fish rearing and can be structured to support variety of fish and harvesting through the year. This solution has demonstrated success in rearing Jade Perch, Seabass, Hybrid Grouper and Saline Tilapia, which can easily cater to other variety of fresh water or seawater fish. Aqualita looks forward to work with partners in bringing this aquaculture initiatives through out Singapore, to benefit more communities. Aqualita will also be looking for partners at exploring opportunities beyond Singapore as to proliferate this solution regionally. Once again, a big shout-out to Tampines Town Council and Temasek Foundation in supporting this initiative. Aqualita Ecotechnology Tampines Town Council Temasek Foundation https://lnkd.in/g73jpUNV

In a world seeking sustainable food solutions, Singapore is setting an inspiring example with its "30 by 30" vision. Picture this: We're 7 years away from Singapore's 2030 aim of producing 30% of its nutritional needs locally. An ambitious goal of self-sufficiency? Not exactly, it's a massive commitment to reduce food imports and embrace sustainable practices. Vertical/urban farms and aquaculture systems are central to this transformation. These innovative methods include space optimisation, reduced water use, and minimising environmental impact. But it's not purely just technology; it's also about cultivating a thriving food ecosystem. Singapore supports research, startups, and urban farming initiatives to make this vision a reality. Through collaboration, innovation, and a strong commitment to sustainability, Singapore is on its way to a more resilient and greener food future – and we want to be part of the roadmap 💚
