Suzhou Industrial Park (SIP) finally marked it 30th anniversary officially this week. This joint project is truly an impressive achievement for both Suzhou and Singapore. For someone like me, who has never visited SIP before this, the scale and sleekness of the 'industrial' park came as a complete surprise. I use inverted commas for the word 'industrial' because SIP looks nothing like an industrial park. Instead it looks like a well-planned city, with really pleasant streets and beautiful parks. And as I speak to the locals, I can see that they truly love living in this city, especially the well-heeled and talented Chinese and Singapore professionals who could have made their home anywhere else in the world, but chose to settle in SIP, making it one of the most exciting yet liveable tech hubs in China. See it for yourself in this 23 minute documentary, and I think you'd understand why. :) https://lnkd.in/geaGYPTY
