Yesterday, we had the pleasure of welcoming a group of trainees from various Embassies and Missions in Singapore to our Embassy for an engaging exchange on their time in Singapore so far. 🇸🇬 Our very own trainee Dominik Hammer and Science Counsellor Joël Henri Brunner presented the newly renovated Embassy and highlighted the strong, longstanding bilerateral ties between Switzerland and Singapore, followed by a tour of the premises. It is a pleasure to see such an active cohort of trainees contributing to the strengthening of diplomatic ties and fostering meaningful networks.🤝🌏 Embassy of Denmark in Singapore Embassy of Sweden, Singapore European Union Delegation to Singapore Ambasciata d'Italia a Singapore e Brunei Darussalam Norwegian Embassy in Singapore Embassy of Finland in Singapore Embajada de España en Singapur

About us
As the official representation of Switzerland, the embassy covers all matters concerning diplomatic relations between the two countries. It represents Swiss interests in the areas of political, economic and financial affairs, legal arrangements, science, education and culture. The embassy supports cooperation between Switzerland and Singapore. In this respect, close contact with the respective ministries of economic affairs is important. Bilateral meetings organised by the embassy are used to strengthen relations between Switzerland and Singapore. The embassy promotes the Swiss economy in the host country, Swiss exports and tourism. It establishes contacts with Swiss businesses and provides them with general information and legal advice concerning the economy of the host country. The embassy monitors the economic and political situation in the country and communicates developments that are of interest to Switzerland. The embassy fosters collaboration in the areas of science, technology and education with the aim of strengthening cooperation between the two countries in terms of research and innovation. It promotes the exchange of ideas between scientific institutions and universities. It also supports Swiss students in the host country and tries to encourage qualified students from the Singapore to study in Switzerland. In terms of culture, the embassy aims to promote mutual understanding in its work to implement Swiss cultural policy. It strengthens contacts with – and between – relevant cultural institutions of Switzerland and Singapore, and also with artists, for example supporting Swiss artists who would like to show their work abroad. Events organised or supported by the embassy should highlight Switzerland's commitment to culture and help build bridges between different cultures. With regard to the media, the embassy acts as an interface between the Swiss government and the official representations in Singapore.

♻️🏗️The Swiss Embassy in Singapore, together with the SwissCham Climate Tech Subcommittee, hosted an inspiring event on Carbon Conscious Construction! 📉Responsible for over 38% of global CO₂ emissions, the construction sector plays a critical role in curbing emissions, making sustainable construction practices a top priority. These practices were at the heart of the evening, with Dr. Hossein Rezai, Global Design Director at Ramboll Group, presenting eight strategies for decarbonization. 💬Following the presentation, a panel discussion featured Vivien Leong, Szue Hann TAN, MBA, MArch, and Manuel Der Hagopian, moderated by Laurent Corpataux. 💡It was a pleasure to host this event at our newly renovated Embassy, which embodies many of the sustainable practices discussed. Notably—though less visibly—we retained about 90% of the original concrete structure! Frank Grütter Joël Henri Brunner SwissCham Singapore Regula Schegg Laurent Corpataux
