GIC today announces changes to its senior management team, which will come into effect on 1 April 2025. Mr Bryan Yeo, currently Deputy Group Chief Investment Officer (CIO), will be appointed Group CIO. He takes over from Dr Jeffrey Jaensubhakij, who will retire as Group CIO and be appointed a GIC Advisor. Mr Boon Chin Hau will be appointed CIO for Infrastructure. He takes over from Mr Ang Eng Seng, who will retire as CIO Infrastructure and be appointed a GIC Advisor. Rising geoeconomic uncertainty featured front and centre at this week’s World Economic Forum in Davos.   On a panel focused on building more resilient financial systems, GIC CEO Chow Kiat Lim shared his views on the factors that enabled relative financial stability in recent years, the implications of divergent monetary policies for markets, the need to watch out for fragilities including illiquidity, leverage, concentration, and complacency, and the danger of fracturing with the global financial system going the way of global trade.   Together with Daniel L., Head of Enterprise Risk & Performance, GIC, he also contributed to the launch of a report by the Navigating Global Financial System Fragmentation Initiative, which quantified the economic cost of fragmentation.
