Over the past two decades, researchers in theoretical computer science, AI, operations research, and economics have joined forces to understand the interplay between incentives and computation. WINE is an interdisciplinary forum for exchanging ideas and results on incentives and computation arising from these various fields. These issues are particularly relevant for the interactions of large and diverse population groups in environments such as the internet. The blockchain community has spent years refining its understanding of decentralized systems, and the blockchain tenets recently introduced by Prof. Aggelos Kiayias are a reflection of that collective knowledge. A constitution is the foundation of governance, a shared framework for fair and principled decision-making. For Cardano, this means establishing principles to uphold integrity, protect users, and prevent arbitrary actions. The Cardano Constitution, developed and drafted by the community, sets this vision in motion. Central to this framework are the blockchain tenets, key principles introduced to define and safeguard Cardano's core values. Now, as we look ahead to December 2024, the community will gather in Buenos Aires to finalize and adopt the Cardano Constitution, marking a new era in decentralized governance. Over the past few years, the Cardano community has been working toward a future where decentralized technology underpins and secures the world’s most essential systems: economic, political, and social. This is Cardano’s vision. Anca Nitulescu, applied #cryptography researcher at Input | Output (IO), lives in Paris and works on proof of knowledge and zero-knowledge succinct non-interactive argument of knowledge (ZK SNARKs).
