Korea Day 2024 in Singapore (21 October 2024) Deutsche Bank and KEXIM Global recently hosted a successful Korea Day event in Singapore, spotlighting Korea's commitment to fostering innovation-driven growth. The event featured insights from distinguished speakers, including: Mr. Bang Moon-kyu, former Minister of Trade, Industry, and Energy of the Republic of Korea, who presented a forward-looking growth strategy focused on boosting FDI into Korea through government incentives and robust economic reforms. Ms. Juliana Lee, Chief Economist for Asia Pacific at Deutsche Bank, provided an in-depth update on the macroeconomic outlook for Korea, offering valuable context for future investments. Mr. Eric Jang of Deutsche Bank explored risk management solutions related to foreign exchange and shared updates on regulatory developments, particularly on the KRW liberalization, to support our clients' strategic planning. The event opened with remarks by Mr. Kwang-hoon Yu, CEO of KEXIM Singapore, and a warm welcome by Mr. Sameen Farooqui, Global Head of Emerging Markets and Global Co-Head of Global Foreign Exchange at Deutsche Bank, setting the stage for engaging discussions. The event concluded with closing remarks from Ms. Serene Chen, Global Co-Head of Emerging Markets Sales & APAC Head of FIC Sales at Deutsche Bank.
