  • 🌿 A Warm Welcome Home for the Negros Bleeding-Heart Pigeons!   This week, ten critically endangered Negros bleeding-heart pigeons bred in Singapore’s Bird Paradise made their big return to their native Philippines, thanks to a collaboration between the Philippines’ Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), Mandai Nature, Mandai Wildlife Group, and Talarak Foundation, Inc. This marks the first-ever repatriation of this incredible species! 🌍   The journey began in 2021 when three pairs of these birds arrived at Singapore’s Bird Paradise to establish the first insurance population outside the Philippines as part of a larger effort aimed at recovering wild populations. The 10 birds are progenies of the three original pairs.   These ten birds will now continue to be cared for by Talarak Foundation in their new home at a conservation facility in Negros Forest Park. The species, native to the islands of Negros and Panay in the Philippines, is an icon of Visayas' endemic wildlife, easily recognised by the unique red splash on its chest.   A special event was held to celebrate their safe arrival, with distinguished guests including Her Excellency Constance See, Ambassador of Singapore to the Republic of Philippines(Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) Singapore), Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson, and government officials from the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office and DENR-Biodiversity Management Bureau.   We’re beyond proud to be part of this incredible journey and excited to see these birds return to their native land. Here's to many more wins! 💚 #MandaiWildlifeGroup #Conservation #Partnership

  • We are delighted to share that the Mandai Boardwalk is open! This new amenity is free for the public to enjoy between 7am and 7pm. There are two entrances - next to River Wonders, and Mandai Wildlife EAST which leads to and from our shuttle buses and multi-storey car park.    It’s a 3.3km stroll with charming views of the Upper Seletar Reservoir and luxuriant plant and insect life all around. You may come across the vocalising of the critically endangered native Straw-headed bulbul or the gibbons inside Singapore Zoo, and spot other wildlife along the way. The walkway is accessible to wheelchairs and strollers. This new boardwalk celebrates the fascinating connection between forest and water ecosystems. It’s open only during daylight hours and closes between dusk and dawn to minimise disturbance to nocturnal animals.    Our new boardwalk was officially opened by Minister of State for Trade and Industry, and Culture, Community and Youth, Alvin Tan, on 14 January 2025. He was hosted by our Chairman Piyush Gupta and Group CEO Mike Barclay, and joined by our sponsors who planted hundreds of native trees along the 3.3km walkway. Thank you, Amazon Web Services (AWS), GIC, China Aviation Oil (Singapore) Corporation Limited, Corteva Agriscience, OTS Holdings, Schneider Electric, Standard Chartered Singapore, Syngenta, and The Chen Lin Trust.   Later, Mr Tan was hosted on a private visit to the upcoming Mandai Rainforest Resort by Banyan Tree, which is preparing for its opening in April.

  • We’ve joined hands with Singapore Manufacturing Federation to launch the Green Excellence Programme.
