We discussed how we can strengthen our Singaporean identity, further pursue economic growth whilst providing opportunities for skills upgrading and jobs for workers, and supporting Singaporeans across different life stages. They include cash payouts for all adult Singaporeans, and Medisave and Retirement Savings bonuses for those who are eligible. Minister Hong Tat Chee and Japan’s Special Advisor to Cabinet Masato Kanda reaffirmed the warm and longstanding bilateral relations between Singapore and Japan at their meeting earlier this week, and discussed areas of multilateral cooperation to address challenges such as climate change. Had a productive meeting with Japan’s Special Advisor to Cabinet Masato Kanda. 🇸🇬🇯🇵 We reaffirmed our warm and longstanding bilateral relations. We also discussed ways to strengthen multilateral cooperation to address common challenges such as climate change and ageing demographics. I congratulated Kanda-san on his election as incoming President of the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
