MSSS at Brain Bank Singapore 5th Anniversary 1st November 2024 Brain Bank: Our main purpose is to collect post-mortem human brain tissues via a donor scheme and preserve them optimally for use in ethics committee-approved scientific research studies. It was a pleasure to be part of Brain Bank Singapore's 5th Anniversary celebration. We were honored to share about Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and our mission as MSSS with those present. We look forward to future partnerships with Brain Bank Singapore. Pictured: Molly Kruko Shannon Heo

MSSS at The Purple Parade 2024 !! On 12th October, MSSS proudly participated in The Purple Parade! As a newly formed patient group, we are excited to be part of this important event and look forward to participating in future ones. THE PURPLE PARADE is a unifying national platform to promote awareness and celebrate abilities of Persons with Disabilities. The core of The Purple Parade movement is to ensure that Persons with Disabilities are included in the main chapter of Singapore’s growth and have equal access to education, employment, transport and social networks. Ratnah Hafizah, Molly Kruko and Michael Boscoscuro attended SingHealth Patient Advocacy Network event on the 14th September 2024. In this interactive session, we learnt about how healthcare authorities are trying to foster a deeper relationship between patients, carers and healthcare providers to improve patient experience and outcomes. A key learning was the shift in recent years to a ‘patient first’ mentality. A key cornerstone is education, something we at MSSS subscribe to entirely. This is the key avenue where awareness and understanding will be built. Our mission is to educate, advocate and empower. #multiplesclerosissocietysingapore #multiplesclerosis #MSawareness #patientfirst
