  • Thank you President Tharman Shanmugaratnam, Minister Josephine Teo, as well as Senior Minister of State Kiat How Tan for visiting us at the Digital for Life Festival 2024 roadshows! We shared on the importance of being S.U.R.E. (Source, Understand, Research, Evaluate) about the reliability of information, including an interactive quiz to help visitors identify deepfakes. Visitors also saw their stories come alive through our Generative AI prototype StoryGen. There were also programmes and talks at our libraries to equip patrons with the skills to navigate an increasingly digital world. Check out SURE Elevated to learn more about being S.U.R.E. in the digital age or visit the S.U.R.E. website! #LAB25 #LAB25InformedCitizenry #DigitalforLifeSG #PlayItForward

During Ms Min’s visit, she shared on NLCY’s strategies to promote reading, its programmes for children and youths and how NLCY is enhancing reading services for underprivileged children. • We were happy to host the National Library of China (NLC), a long-term partner of NLB, during their visit to Singapore. The delegation, led by Ms Chen Ying, Secretary of the Communist Party of China Committee, NLC, visited our libraries, including Punggol Regional Library, as well as the Laws of Our Land exhibition at National Gallery Singapore. Ideas, knowledge, and best practices were exchanged with our NLC counterparts, alongside discussions on potential collaborations. We look forward to more fruitful partnerships that would enhance our offerings to promote reading and learning. #LAB25 #LAB25LearningMktplace
