The year 2025 may have just begun, but NEON is already moving forward with exciting projects and global developments in the pipeline! An extraordinary year calls for an extraordinary celebration, and this Lunar New Year, we marked the occasion in a truly unique way. This year, we brought the festivities to Harry Potter: Visions of Magic at Resorts World Sentosa, blending East and West in a truly magical way. A captivating lion dance performance featuring four lions representing the four houses at Hogwarts, set the stage for an inspiring and vibrant start to the year. 🪄 Following the performance, staff and invited guests gathered for a festive Lo Hei session and a scrumptious buffet, embracing the spirit of abundance and unity. Adding to the excitement, 25 lucky staff members walked away with fantastic prizes from our Lunar New Year lucky draw—just look at those happy faces! ✨🎁✨ Not forgetting the key highlight of the event, our senior management team distributed auspicious ang baos and mandarin oranges, sharing well wishes for success and prosperity with everyone in the Year of the Snake. 🍊🧧🍊 A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us in making this celebration a success. The press conference held on 23 January 2025 in Tokyo, Japan for Ramses the Great and the Gold of the Pharaohs was a resounding success and the event was graced by Ms. Yuriko Koike, the Governor of Tokyo; Mr. Ron Tan, Executive Chairman & Group CEO of NEON; Dr. Mohamed Ismail, Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities; Dr. Zahi Hawass, world-renowned Egyptologist and global curator of our exhibition; His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Abubakr, Ambassador of The Arab Republic of Egypt to Japan; Dr. Sakuji Yoshimura, leading Japanese Egyptologist and Japan curator for Ramses the Great and the Gold of the Pharaohs; our valued business partners and many media friends in Japan. We were also delighted by the special appearance of Chocolate Planet (チョコレートプラネット), the popular Japanese comedy duo known for their hilarious sketches and unique resemblance to ancient Egyptian statues! With their large following and knack for blending humor with cultural themes, their participation added a different flavour to the event, sparking laughter and excitement among attendees. In Dr. Zahi Hawass’ sharing during the press conference, he announced that the Minister of Antiquities, Mr. Sherif Fathy, will be attending the grand opening of the exhibition in March 2025! He also expressed heartfelt gratitude to the NEON team for their efforts in bringing priceless Egyptian artefacts to the global stage, as well as their unwavering support for his team’s ongoing excavations in Egypt. Proud to continue our collaboration with the Egyptian government, funding the discovery of ancient artefacts and presenting them to the world as we honour the past and continue uncovering treasures that tell the story of a civilisation that has shaped our future. On January 8th, Dr. Zahi Hawass and NEON held a press conference in Luxor to reveal the latest groundbreaking findings from their excavation, shedding new light on the reign of Ramses II. These extraordinary discoveries bring us closer to understanding the grandeur of ancient Egypt and the powerful legacy of its rulers. We are truly excited about this discovery, which came just before the official opening of NEON's Ramses and the Gold of the Pharaohs in Tokyo, Japan come March 2025.
