We’re excited to return as Brisbane’s longest-serving e-scooter operator with 2,500 e-scooters rolling out from today. To celebrate, we are launching with a free "Trust Pass" for all new and legacy riders, which waives the e-scooter unlock fee and applies a 20% discount on all trips for 30 days. This December also marks our fourth-annual Festive ScootSafe campaign with the Australian Road Safety Foundation. The campaign will refresh riders on the local rules, while our new in-app cognitive reaction test will be introduced at key times to deter users from riding under the influence. We thank Brisbane City Council for their trust and support – it’s great to be back serving the city!

The holidays are just around the corner, and we’re partnering the Australian Road Safety Foundation and Traffic Injury Research Foundation (TIRF) for Neuron’s fourth global Festive ScootSafe campaign! This year, our focus is to promote e-scooter safety and to combat intoxicated riding in the lead up to the Christmas and New Year celebrations. As with all vehicles, drinking and riding is very dangerous and against the law. In some cities, those who have a driver’s licence may also lose them. To deter users from riding under the influence, they are required to take our in-app cognitive reaction test at key times over the holiday season. Riders who fail the test will be locked out of our service. Learn more about our festive safe riding tips and navigate the year-end celebrations like a pro: https://lnkd.in/dUM3SVnV

We are thrilled to announce our distinctive orange e-scooters will be back in Brisbane from early December 2024! We look forward to returning with renewed energy and will pick up where we left off when it comes to serving the city. Thank you to Brisbane City Council for their trust and support. As the city’s longest-serving e-scooter operator, we have built up significant trust and goodwill, and our Brisbane riders travelled close to 13 million kilometres, saving 886 tonnes of CO2 emissions. Over the last five years, we've had the opportunity to collaborate closely with the city to introduce features such as our app-controlled helmet lock—innovations that first launched in Brisbane are now making a difference all around the world.

Golden helmets galore! Our fourth global Helmet Safety Awareness Week, also referred to as Golden Helmet Week, is back from 21 to 29 September. This year, we are partnering with the Australian Road Safety Foundation and the Traffic Injury Research Foundation (TIRF) to build on our continued commitment in promoting helmet use. As part of our #GoldenHelmetChallenge, special edition golden helmets are fitted onto a handful of e-scooters in every city. Those who spot one can release them through the app-controlled helmet lock, then wear it while riding to protect themselves, and stand to win a free trip! Throughout the week, riders can also expect online and in-person education as well as incentives for wearing a helmet. We’re thrilled our safety-first e-scooters will remain in Newcastle until May 2026! Since Neuron's arrival in February 2021, 40% of all e-scooter trips have replaced a car journey, eliminating 140 tonnes of CO2 emissions to-date. Each e-scooter is also facilitating an annual spending of £11,900 at local businesses, providing a boost to Newcastle's economy. Thank you to the Newcastle City Council for their trust and support. We look forward to making an even greater positive impact in the local community, connecting the city in a safe, convenient and environmentally-friendly way!

We are thrilled to partner with Launch Housing for a series of guided tours to highlight the issue of homelessness while riding on our distinctive orange e-scooters. Titled ‘Eyes Open Ride: Stories from the Streets’, the hour-long tour will take place over the Open House Melbourne weekend from 27 to 28 July. Guided by the wonderful team at Launch Housing, participants will visit often-overlooked locations across Melbourne’s CBD. They’ll also have the opportunity to hear from various supporting organisations about the role they are playing to eradicate homelessness in the city. Neuron is a proud member of Melbourne Zero, working alongside businesses and community organisations including Launch Housing, City of Melbourne, Youth Projects, The Big Issue Australia and more to end rough sleeping by 2030. Melbourne’s e-scooter program is about to get smarter! Over the coming months, we have committed to equip our entire 1,250-strong e-scooter fleet with a front-facing camera that uses advanced AI computer vision technology to: • Detect and correct footpath riding • Identify and warn riders of pedestrians in the path • Collect valuable data on road surfaces Our new ‘ScootSafe Vision’ system, which is developed in-house, has been tested in Melbourne over six months. The trial covered 30,000 kilometres, training the technology to recognise the city's streets and footpaths. This makes Melbourne the world's first major international city to introduce e-scooters with front-facing AI-powered cameras at scale. We thank the City of Melbourne, Yarra City Council and City of Port Phillip for their continued trust and support!
