    On 19 September 2024, Singapore released the results of a three-year study, the National Youth Mental Health Study, which provides insights into the state of youth mental health and well-being in Singapore. The results are perhaps not surprising, but they do make for a sobering read:       ➡️ About 27% of 15 to 35 year olds suffer severe or extremely severe anxiety       ➡️ Nearly 15% of the same group suffer severe or extremely severe depression       ➡️ Nearly 15% of the same group suffer severe or extremely severe stress I have finally penned down my thoughts and suggestions on what we as parents, educators, and policymakers can do to support youth mental health.   • We wrapped up our fasting exercise last weekend, and it was a powerful journey for everyone who joined. For three returning participants, it was a familiar path, while for others, it was an exciting new challenge. Each person brought a unique perspective, handling the fast to their own pace, snacking, pausing, resuming, keeping on-going to some participant's disbelief. As Mr Tan says, we can’t do without it and so it’s important that we use these tools responsibly. Whether we want to manage our own or our kids’ use, these three steps work are useful to maintain balance: 1. Set clear limits on your daily usage 2.
