🌍 Just wrapped up a vital session on enhancing resilience in sustainable supply chains at the PARIMA Taipei 2024! In the session titled “Enhancing Resilience in Sustainable Supply Chains”, Marshall Lee, Managing Director and Head of Climate & Sustainability at Marsh McLennan Asia and Sean Lin, Head of Marsh Advisory, Marsh Asia, Taiwan, explored how the COVID-19 pandemic acted as a real-time stress test on global supply chains, revealing structural vulnerabilities in the just-in-time (JIT) framework. Marshall Lee and Sean Lin also discussed how evolving regulatory requirements are pushing manufacturers to demonstrate their sustainability efforts. He highlighted strategies that help risk managers improve visibility and agility, ensuring the development of resilient and sustainable supply chains. During the session “The Pursuit of Sustainability and its Impacts,” speakers Lih-Chyi Wen, Partner at ERM Taiwan, Terence Lin, Head of Taiwan Reinsurance at Reinsurance Solutions, Aon, and Kuo Yu Lin, Executive Vice President, Commercial Insurance at Fubon Insurance Co., Ltd., explored the critical challenges companies face in navigating ESG practices, meeting compliance standards, and avoiding greenwashing.
