Producing compelling content is our calling. As an integrated creative and content agency, we help broadcasters and brands reach their target audience by bringing ideas to life through the art of storytelling. We do things a little differently. We don’t just produce original long and short form content, we also create meaningful audience experiences through effective content marketing strategies across multimedia platforms to further engage and build a stronger fan base. Made up of a group of proven and veteran talents with diverse media experiences and capabilities, Refinery Media is able to provide end-to-end content solutions by applying a cross-disciplinary approach in all our projects and productions. Our in-house team has the ability to create bespoke packages and branded video content for specific client needs. We understand our clients because we think like you. Refinery Media’s firm belief and emphasis on high production values and the quality of its end products have earned the team several nominations for its original multiplatform creation, SupermodelMe, including Best Cross Platform Content (2012), Best Host (2014) and Best Reality Show (2014) at the Asian Television Awards, Best Digital Non-Fiction Program at the International Digital Emmy Awards (2013), Best Editing at Apollo Awards (2014 & 2015). SupermodelMe is now an international series spanning a total of five successful seasons that have been screened across Asia Pacific, the U.S. and Canada. We have also been commissioned by FOX Networks and produced Asia's Next Top Model Cycle 5 (2017) and Cycle 6 (2018). We are also stepping in the space of Scripted both short and long form. Our short film Pommel (2018) has been shortlisted at several film festivals including BIFA for Best British Short Film and qualifying for the Prestigious Oscar qualifying Short Shorts Film Festival Asia, also winning Special Jury Prize at LAAPFF, Best UK Short Film at East End Film Festival.

Executive Producer & Showrunner at Refinery Media / Founder of Virtual Production Studio X3D
Refinery Media just wrapped the filming of Mothernet which was the first Indonesian-Singapore Co-production utilising X3D Studio Virtual Production tools. This will be the first of many such projects that we are bringing into Singapore. The decision to use Singaporean DOP and Gaffer also brings closer collaboration between the two countries. There is much work to do on pushing for upskilling and training more skilled work force in this space and we are also very happy to report that our next Accelerator course happening in October has successfully been filled. We offer graduates of our courses to be able to work in our projects as well so I highly encourage more to sign up early for our next course which will be in January 2025. #virtualproduction #icvfx #singapore #productioncompany #arri

We have just released another short film shot entirely at our studio, assets created by in-house team in collaboration with Refinery Media. This time, it's an exercise on how many scenes we can shoot within 2 days. It turns out, we managed to shoot 7 very different scenes. Utilising augmented reality (AR) elements and six distinct virtual environments, including a 360º plate, the film also integrates real-time compositing of live footage onto a virtual background. This is another sci-fi film starring Oon Shu Ann and cameo appearance by one of our founders Myke Brown! Set in 2080s Singapore, a simulation developer has been trapped by own AI assistant that goes rogue. In association with Refinery Media here is a first look at the short sci-fi film "Deadend" starring Qi Yu Wu and Andrew Lua in a post-apocalyptic ride directed by Joel Lim. The team created all the assets showcasing #singapore like you've never seen it, proving that Sci-Fi is absolutely possible for Singaporean filmmakers to do now.
