  • The recent revision of income thresholds to make healthcare more accessible for many Singaporeans is a great step forward. Will there be more positive news to come? As healthcare evolves to address increasingly complex and challenging conditions, how quickly can innovative treatments and vaccines be integrated into subsidy frameworks to benefit more patients? Timely access to cutting-edge treatments is especially critical for those living with rare or complex conditions. It’s not just about affordability today—but creating a healthcare system that meets the needs of tomorrow. Striking a balance between immediate affordability, sustainable funding and sustained access to innovation is more important than ever. At SAPI, we believe that continuous collaboration across the healthcare ecosystem— bringing together patients, researchers, manufacturers, payers and providers—is essential to delivering inclusive, long-lasting solutions that advance patient-centred healthcare for all.
