🤝We've signed two MOUs with the Government of Odisha, strengthening our commitment to advancing a low-carbon future in India. The MOUs, covering potential opportunities in green hydrogen and industrial park development, were exchanged during the Presidential State Visit of Mr Tharman Shanmugaratnam, President of the Republic of Singapore, to India. With abundant resources and investor-friendly policies, Odisha is pivotal to India’s energy transition. We recently hosted the inaugural Sembcorp Solar Safety Day in Singapore, bringing together more than 600 colleagues and our partners in engineering, procurement, and construction to celebrate and reinforce the importance of workplace safety. The event provided an opportunity to reinforce safety best practices, recognise our partners who uphold exemplary standards, and deepen safety awareness through educational booths by the Singapore Civil Defence Force and crime prevention talks by the Singapore Police Force. We have been awarded a 150MW solar photovoltaic project coupled with a 300MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) from the Solar Energy Corporation of India Ltd! This is our first solar-BESS hybrid project in India and it brings our gross renewables capacity in the country to almost 6GW. This year, we have secured over 2GW of greenfield projects. 🌞 The Aksai Huidong New Energy Solar Farm in Gansu, China, which features our first Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) project, is now fully operational and connected to the grid. ⚡Jointly owned by Sembcorp and SDIC Power, the 750MW solar farm integrates 110MW of CSP with 640MW of solar assets, enabling 24-hour renewable energy delivery.
