We were heartened to receive a token of appreciation from APSN Katong School recently! 💓 Over the past 3 years, #SMRT has worked with APSN on a variety of programmes such as Adopt-A-Station, Learning Journeys, #SMRTComicConnect murals, and our Community Piano artwork. 🥰 Our partnership has enabled us to equip the students with valuable public transport knowledge and wayfinding skills, while providing them a platform to showcase their artistic talents. 👍 Chairman of the Board of APSN Education Services, Dr Anthony Fok, presented the token of appreciation to SMRT, with Deputy Prime Minister (DPM), Mr Heng Swee Keat, as the Guest-of-Honour. 🎉 Also in attendance was Principal of APSN Katong School, Mdm Ng Puey Koon. ✨ #ICYMI: In June, DPM Heng joined us to unveil a Comic Connect mural at Bedok station on the East-West Line, created by student artists from APSN Katong School. 🎨 Be sure to check it out if you're passing through! 🤩 #AllAboutTrains #ESG@SMRT #Inclusivity

"When we work, we never think about the years. When we go to a station to attend to a fault, the most important thing is to rectify the issue, as soon as possible. Now, I have 6 grandchildren. My sons tell me that they want their sons to work at SMRT also!” Meet Technical Officer Sutrisno Bin Jamikan from SMRT Trains, who has dedicated over 35 years of service to keeping our stations cool — literally! 🚆 Sutrisno and his team ensure that the aircon systems are well-maintained, providing much-needed respite from the heat for both commuters and colleagues. 🥵 With a son and son-in-law also working in SMRT, with his grandchildren possibly following in their footsteps, it’s truly becoming a rail work family legacy! 👣 Sutrisno was one of over 200 SMRT colleagues honoured at our recent Long Service Awards 2024. At SMRT, every job is meaningful and with purpose. 🤩 #MySMRT #FacesOfSMRT #AllAboutTrains
