Studio Merpati designs surface patterns inspired by various objects found in the Asian archipelago, drawing inspiration from history, architecture and nature. Run by a brother-sister duo with a passion for design, we have a long-standing relationship with colour that dates back to our childhood days. A colour's ability to reflect moods, emotions, visions, status and personalities is a powerful tool in communicating what words cannot.
