On November 22, 2024, SEAS members had the opportunity to visit the Sembcorp Tengeh Floating Solar Farm, Singapore’s first inland floating solar farm. With over 122,000 solar panels spanning across 45 hectares, it's a remarkable example of how innovation and sustainability come together to power the future. Our members were treated to an insightful tour, including a boat ride and visit to the control room where we learned about the day-to-day operations of running the facility. A huge thank you to Sembcorp Industries Ltd and their team for the warm hospitality for making this session possible. And a big thank you to our members who joined us. Let's continue to harness #solar energy and driving #sustainability forward! #SEASMembers #Sembcorp #SEAS

Together with our technical and knowledge partner, KPMG Singapore, we have launched DigiLeap, an AI-driven marketplace designed to support #decarbonisation projects, at Asia Clean Energy Summit and COP29 Azerbaijan. This platform connects over 200 enterprises across ASEAN, including #financial institutions and #technology providers, to expedite the region's transition to net-zero emissions. Currently, DigiLeap hosts over 10 green projects focused on #renewable energy, industrial decarbonisation, and green construction. Key stakeholders, such as Enterprise Singapore (ESG), the Asian Development Bank (ADB), SGTech, UN Global Compact Network Singapore (GCNS), the Singapore International Chamber of Commerce (SICC), National Trades Union Congress (NTUC) and the Singapore Business Federation (SBF), and others, are actively collaborating to share resources, foster innovation, and facilitate corporate participation on the platform by 2025. DigiLeap also offers tools like stakeholder mapping and resources to help businesses integrate sustainable practices. It addresses challenges related to access to green technologies, financing, and project management, especially for smaller-scale sustainability initiatives. We extend our sincere thanks to all stakeholders, including our technical and knowledge partners, enterprises, and supporting organisations, for making DigiLeap a reality and driving sustainable progress across the region. 📣 We are pleased to share that REDEX and ASUENE Inc. have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to work together to explore innovation opportunities in the decarbonisation ecosystem. The collaboration will enable both organisations to enhance their value-add to clients and potentially offer through-train solutions, resolving pain points experienced by companies when embarking on their #sustainability journey. 💪 In general, an organisation may utilise several different platforms to execute its various decarbonisation initiatives. These platforms may not be integrated with each other and extensive resources are required to bridge data gaps between them. REDEX and Asuene will collaborate to enable a seamless user experience for clients on our platforms, reducing the man hours required to report and verify decarbonisation claims. REDEX is excited to join forces with Asuene. We look forward to a deep and fruitful partnership, jointly working to accelerate the global transition to #netzero! The Asia Clean Energy Summit (ACES) 2024 witnessed the formal signing of Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) between the Sustainable Energy Association of Singapore (SEAS) and prominent tertiary education institutes in Singapore. These MOUs represent a strategic alignment between industry and academia to advance sustainability, renewable energy education, and workforce development in Singapore’s rapidly growing green economy. The MOUs between SEAS and the participating institutes— Institute of Technical Education (ITE), National University of Singapore (NUS), Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT), and Singapore Polytechnic (SP) —are aimed at fostering collaboration that integrates cutting-edge academic research with practical industry applications in the field of sustainable energy. Each partnership is designed to contribute uniquely to Singapore's clean energy goals. The event was graced by Ms. Low Yen Ling, Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth & Ministry of Trade and Industry, who witnessed the signing. #SEAS #MOUs #Sustainability #RenewableEnergy

We have officially wrapped up ACES 2024! As our Chairman Edwin Khew said in his opening welcome remarks on Day 1 of ACES 2024, this year’s ACES is special, not only because of the transformative shifts in the region’s energy landscape but because we are at a critical threshold of even more ambitious targets. Over the past few days, discussions have surrounded these topics on how the industry can prepare for the next stage of the energy transition. We have engaged in panel discussions, listened to distinguished keynote speakers engage in important dialogues, get real on conversations surrounding but not limited to Solar and Storage, Green Hydrogen, Energy Efficiency, Energy Sustainability and many more. This year was also special as we launched the inaugural Asia Carbon Summit with the theme of Greener Footprints, Cleaner Planet. SEAS would like to thank all our speakers, panellists, sponsors, delegates, vendors and visitors and everyone who has helped make this year’s edition a success and for your continued support. We look forward to meeting you next year at ACES 2025! #ACES2024 #SEAS #AsiaCarbonSummit #EnergyTransition #EnergySustainability
