Congratulations Women In Research (WIRe) Singapore for the another successful event, this time deep diving on Gen AI. We're proud to support this wonderful community and see it grow and strengthen. Learn more, sign up ⬇️
🚀 If you're an insights leader thinking about implementing Gen-AI as part of the business workflow, this is for you! Last Friday, at Synthesis Creative Data House, I moderated a Women In Research (WIRe) Singapore panel with insights leaders from Meta, Standard Chartered, The Coca-Cola Company and Accenture to explore how Gen-AI is transforming businesses across industries. Here are my 3 key takeaways: 1️⃣ Mindset Over Tech Adopting AI isn’t just about tools—it’s about rethinking workflows, skills, and opportunities. We all agreed that Gen-AI enables both efficiency and creativity when used effectively. 🌟 You don’t need to be a technical expert. Be curious and engage your team to find the intersections—how Gen-AI can enhance your insights workflow and unlock new possibilities. 2️⃣ From Productivity to Creativity Companies are investing in upskilling—training employees in prompt engineering and various use cases for AI-driven workflows. 🌟 Be an early adopter to use Gen-AI at every stage of the creative process. 3️⃣ Owning the Decisions Gen-AI adds value as a thought partner, revealing ideas we might miss. 🌟 But ultimately, we are accountable for the decisions made with AI insights. A huge thank you to Martina Yordanova, Divashree Bhasin, Mahima Surana and Rara Naval for sharing your experiences of AI transformation journey. Special thanks to Anita Rao Kapur and Rara Naval, our Singapore chapter organising committee, to plan for weeks behind-the-scenes. Really enjoyed our collaboration over the year to build the WIRe Singapore community together. And thanks our Women In Research (WIRe) community for bringing your energy and passion to the discussion last Friday. Together, we’re shaping the future of insights! #WomenInResearch #GenerativeAI #GenAI #Insights

As part of our long-term partnership with Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, we were thrilled to welcome their Future of Public Policy class of '25 to Synthesis Creative Data House yesterday. Focusing on how we leverage Open Source Intelligence and simulation to model the Future of Food. Here are 3 takeaways from our discussion: 📉 Data Backed Confidence 📈 Layering rigorous data helps stakeholders believe in and quickly align on future scenarios. 🌀 Arriving at a Shared Vision 🧭 Immersing stakeholders in future through experience creates a common and inspiring language to build from. 🚀 Eyes on Tomorrow, Hands on Today ⛏️ Success in 10 years starts with the decisions we take today. NEW REPORT LAUNCH: MENU 2034 — The Future of Food. For our third edition, we explore how our diets will be reshaped over the next decade. In a world of growing population and increasing climate pressures, two future scenarios emerged from our data science modelling of human behaviours: 1️⃣ Radical Transformation — a future where we proactively protect and savour nature, using abundant, diverse, and regenerative ingredients that emit lower GHGs and drastically cut waste. 2️⃣ Resilient Adaptation — a world slow to address climate change, driving a food gap. We adapt with technology and science to create novel foods and replicate flavours of diminishing ingredients. Learn more: comment or message us to receive your copy of the report today. A special thanks to our visionary collaborators: Oliver Truesdale-Jutras, Christopher Leow, Matthew Orlando, Hassan Jamil, Blair D S Crichton 🌱🌍, Joseph R., Christopher Kong, Nithiya N Laila, Jake Berber, René Benguerel, Enzo Acerbi.

In today's ever more competitive and fragmented world, it's easy to get caught up in our own priorities and day to day hustle. Synthesis is so pleased to support Women In Research (WIRe), and create a positive, shared space of collective growth, where we lift each other up. Thank you, Ivy Esquero, for being the catalyst to bring this community to Singapore. And to the core team — Anita Rao Kapur, Rara Naval, Amy LIM, and Louise Newson — for curating the program. We're excited to see this community flourish and grow!
Last week, we had our FIRST Singapore WIRe event and I'm just blown away by the community of women who are already part of this network. Here are just some of the photos from the event, but you can see from the engagement and smiles that we have something going here. We wanted to provide a safe space for connection, support and development and we are off to an amazing start. We couldn't have done this without all our volunteers and sponsors. To Anita Rao Kapur, Rara Naval, Amy LIM and Louise Newson - you are all rockstars for jumping on board so quickly and helping us organize such great content. Lara Truelove, Meimei Dai, Ai Huy Luu, Shi Ying Kok, Sin Lee Loh, thank you for volunteering and making the day so seamless. Thank you to our local event sponsors Synthesis and TRIPTK for making this event possible. Special thanks to Lee Fordham, Harriet ROBERTSON and Nichola Rastrick and the entire Synthesis crew for sharing your space and your team to help pull this off! Thank you to Jessica Sage and Michelle Andre for your support and help in launching this amazing new community! Last, but not least, thank you to Michelle M. for capturing the mood of the night. If you need an awesome event photographer, please support this amazing and talented woman entrepreneur!
