  • Bringing the Ho-Ho-Holiday cheer to our patients! This year, we brought our patients out of the wards for some fun games and activities as we welcome the year-end festivities! Every year, our patients get to enjoy performances and special treats by our staff. This year, our friends at the TTSH Integrated Care Hub (TTSH ICH) organised a carnival where patients get to try their hands on decorating Christmas ornaments, horticulture, as well as participate in group sports - allowing our patients to move, recover, and interact with one another! The festive cheer was truly felt as we captured the smiles and laughters of our patients, staff, and volunteers. From our TTSH family, we wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! 🎄🎄🎄

  • Accidents at the workplace can happen at any time. Just last year alone, over 22,000 workplace injuries were reported in Singapore. The first and often most important step in any traumatic incidences is basic first aid administered by a bystander, which could be your colleagues! Timely response can save lives and reduce complications! Here are three reasons why first aid knowledge is important. Read this article penned by Dr Lo Hong Yee (Consultant, Trauma Surgery, TTSH) and Ms Audrey Ngo (Central Region Trauma Services) to learn more about the live-saving role of timely first aid in the workplace: https://lnkd.in/gRb7M2Qh

  • 𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐚𝐟𝐞𝐫 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐬 In Singapore, workplace safety is more urgent than ever, with over 22,000 injuries reported last year — a 5% increase from 2022. To address this, the Central Region Trauma Services (CRTS), in collaboration with TTSH, Workplace Safety and Health Council (WSHC), and industry partners (Construction & Manufacturing), hosted a comprehensive Workplace Injuries (Prevention and Management) workshop recently, attended by over 250 staff and participants. The first of its kind in Singapore, TTSH brought together experts from healthcare, SCDF, and SAF to deliver practical life-saving skills sessions, and expert insights on injury management tailored to the construction and manufacturing sectors. The focus? To equip WSH officers with the proper knowledge and skills in making workplaces safer, and better manage injuries for better recovery outcomes, while waiting for the paramedics to arrive. “Workplace injuries are debilitating beyond the immediate harm they cause. When healthy young people get hurt, it affects not just themselves but also their families. Apart from the physical and emotional trauma, these casualties are often bread winners providing for their dependents. Preventing injuries is paramount to avoid the cascading effects of the harm.” - Adj Asst/Prof Teo Li-Tserng, Regional Director from the Central Region Trauma Committee at National Healthcare Group. At TTSH, we want to foster a culture of safety and shared responsibility beyond the hospital and in our workplaces. As the adage goes, prevention is better than cure. • 𝐇𝐢𝐝𝐝𝐞𝐧 𝐆𝐞𝐦𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐮𝐬 👑 Our Patient Service Associates are always the first people to meet and greet you in the hospital. Sometimes they are the ones to lend a shoulder to those who are in need, like patients' family members. Every year, our hospital celebrates our PSAs’ contributions and an outstanding PSA is crowned as the CEO PSA of the year. This year, the winner is Hai Yee, Senior Patient Service Associate Executive. Hear more from her about what it takes to be a PSA in an ICU ward. #HiddenGems #TTSHeartbeats

  • To our TTSH Volunteers, You have been wonderful, bringing joy and comfort to our patients all year round. Inspiring us every day, sharing stories of what keeps you going and continue to dedicate your time for the sick and those on their road to recover. To every volunteer who lends a hand, shares a smile, or shows up with an open heart—thank you. You remind us every day of the power of community and compassion. Happy #InternationalVolunteerDay! #TTSHVolunteers #TTSHeartbeats

  • 𝐅𝐥𝐞𝐱𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐌𝐮𝐬𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤-𝐋𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 💪 Balancing work and personal commitments can be challenging, especially for those with family responsibilities or caregiving duties. Our physiotherapists have started a flexi-work arrangement, transforming their traditional 5.5-day work week to 5-day work week. This change gives our team the time they need for self-care, family, and professional growth — all while continuing to deliver exceptional patient care. By redesigning rosters and scheduling, we have reduced weekend shifts and increased flexibility, leading to higher job satisfaction for our physiotherapists. This initiative earned us the HR Excellence Award 2024 – Excellence in Workforce Flexibility (Silver)! We are committed to improving the way we work and making work-life balance a reality for more in our workplace. We plan to scale up this initiative to all allied health professionals, benefiting even more of our dedicated staff. See how we are transforming the way we work to support our staff’s well-being. #TTSHeartbeats #WorkLifeBalance

  • 𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐄𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲 𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐬 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 🤖 Meet Peter, our ward companion who assists in daily running of our wards. From meals delivery, to carrying documents and medications, Peter ensures we always get what we need - while putting a smile on our faces. Peter was first introduced in our Smart Ward in 2022, and has now been expanded to serve our patients and staff in all our subsidised wards. If you are visiting our wards soon, say 'hello' to Peter and who knows, it might sing you a song! #HealthcareTechnology #HospitalInnovation

  • 𝐁𝐄 𝐒𝐀𝐅𝐄, 𝐁𝐄 𝐖𝐄𝐋𝐋 It was a fun day filled with games, activities and exercises for our staff as we celebrated our annual ACTIVE Day! The friendly competitive spirits took over our Atrium as teams challenged others to be crowned this year’s champions. “We encourage staff to stay healthy, exercise, have fun, and get to know each other better,” shared Dominic Tung, Assistant Director, HR Well-being. We look forward to another exciting and meaningful edition of ACTIVE Day next year! 💪🏼
