TEMBUSU Asia Consulting derives its name from the Tembusu – a large evergreen tree in the family Gentianaceae which is native to Southeast Asia. The Tembusu grows up to 40m in height and is recognized by its deeply fissured bark and unique perpendicular branching. It is highly robust and can grow even in challenging soils.     Nine-in-ten major companies that produce a sustainability report use the #GRIStandards 💡   New research from KPMG, of 5,800 leading companies globally (the N100), finds 71% use GRI – an increase of 3 percentage points on 2022. And of the world’s largest 250 companies (the G250), 77% are GRI reporters 📝   Insights from the survey of #sustainabilityreporting include: ✅ Across global regions, GRI is the most widely used: Asia-Pacific (75%) 🌏 Europe (71%), Americas (70%) 🌎 and Middle East & Africa (64%) 🌍 ✅ Leading countries for GRI adoption are Taiwan (100%), Singapore (97%), Spain, Japan & South Korea (all 94%). ✅ Companies obtaining independent #sustainabilityassurance has risen to 69% of the G250 – of which half now complete a #doublemateriality assessment.   See here for more details 👉 https://lnkd.in/eeYkxVes

    📢 Standardized environmental data is the backbone of the Paris Agreement. As governments gather in Baku for #COP29, CDP was delighted to share some updates on our collaborations with EFRAG and Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and our efforts to streamline reporting and increase access to consistent, comparable data. With the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB)’s climate standard, IFRS S2, as CDP’s foundational baseline for climate disclosure, you might be wondering how it all fits together. You can find out more below ⬇️ As companies navigate a complex reporting landscape, CDP and our partners are aligned on the solution: “write once, use many”. The ethos behind CDP’s alignment is that companies are best served if they can continue to disclose once to CDP and have their data used by many capital market actors, customers, policymakers and more. This has led more than 24,800 companies to disclose IFRS S2-aligned data through CDP in 2024.

    Representatives from our Global Sustainability Standards Board (#GSSB) and the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) met in London yesterday, as our joint collaboration continues 🤝   GSSB Chair Carol Adams (from Australia/UK), and members Igazeuma Adikema Okoroba, PhD (Nigeria) & Corli le Roux, Cert.Dir.® (virtually from South Africa), had discussions with the ISSB’s Emmanuel Faber and Richard Barker.   The meeting focused on how to increase adoption of the #GRIStandards and IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards 📝 articulating how reporters can use them together. Good progress was made with further engagements planned.
