And it's a wrap! An exciting weekend with the partners along the Kampong Bahru stretch — Concentric Circles of Healing, HelloBody, and Felt Sense — hosting individuals from different walks of life in well-designed spaces across the neighbourhood. Together with the participants, we journeyed through different wellness modalities in pursuit of connection — within and with out. It was a fruitful experience for both us as well as the attendees who shared kind words with us, post-session, mentioning how much they love and appreciate having spaces where they can gather as a community to explore the things that matter most to them. More details about the day's events to come on our #MediumBlog — keep an eye out if you're interested! As #placemakers, we hold the view that places are defined by the communities that dwell within them and we strongly believe in the value of human connection. Since the start of the year, we, alongside the folks at Meir Collective, have been pulling people from all walks of life together in our own small ways—starting conversations with regular people that live and breathe in interesting neighbourhoods around #Singapore, and hosting small community gatherings in core neighbourhoods that hold special significance to us. If this resonates with you, please feel free to reach out to us via email or just drop us a DM — Dianne Goh Ying Jie Y. Kokyong Yoann Chew Sebestian Soh Dave Tan. We're always on the lookout for different partners and individuals with similar perspectives to venture with. #placemaking #activations #mindfulness #wellness #experiencesthatmatter #wholesomeaf

More snaps from A #Mindful Kampong that happened last weekend. We have lots to learn from this first iteration of the programme and we've got lots of ideas coming up about how the programme can be made better - bringing people together and fostering a sense of belonging. Pictured below are the sessions for Sound Meditation, Yin Yang Yoga, Resting Conversation, and Group Art Therapy. #identity #placemaking #experiencesthatmatter #wholesomeAF

A Mindful Kampong is in session! While the designers at Afternaut and Studio iF design the spaces we use, the marketing communications team of Ying Jie Y. and Dianne Goh like to say they help engage the use of the spaces that the team designs. Thus, A Mindful Kampong was born. Will be sharing more soon. #wellness #mindfulness #experiencesthatmatter

This October and November, our Design Principal Gwen Tan presented some design inspiration, stories, and insights behind creating a destination-driven space, behind the design of the EDL Showcase gallery, to designers from Johor Bahru, KL, and Bangkok. Thank you EDL for the invite to speak! We hope the designers found the sharing useful, and judging by the looks of fascination and feedback after the tour led by the EDL team, they had a wonderful experience at the gallery. #industrialdesign #placemaking #experiencedesign #experiencesthatmatter #wholesomeAF #Afternaut
