Innovating for a safer sea. Proud to support Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) and the National Maritime Safety at Sea Council for this ground engagement to share about the safety features on our electric vessels. Join us in making safety at sea a priority! #Pyxis #MaritimeSG #SafetyatSea
🚢 Building a Progressive Safety at Sea Culture Together 🚢 As a global hub port and leading international maritime centre, safety in the Port of Singapore is paramount. To instil a strong and proactive safety culture, the National Maritime Safety at Sea Council (#NMSSC) works closely with safety work groups co-chaired by #MPA and the industry. Recently, the NMSSC visited Pyxis as part of its ground engagement to understand the safety culture on the ground and recommend improvements to enhance safety systems across maritime companies. The council, comprising industry leaders, representatives from associations, and government agencies, was hosted onboard the X Tron—the first in a series of fully electric passenger vessels for port and ship workers, launched earlier this year. NMSSC members were pleased to note the safety considerations and additional features incorporated by the Pyxis team after consultations with the crew and maritime companies. During a meeting hosted at MPA’s Port Operations Control Centre, Mr. David Foo, Assistant Chief Executive (Operations/Operations Technology) / Chief Data Officer, thanked the NMSSC for their contributions and reiterated the important role they play in enhancing #SafetyatSea for #MaritimeSG. Safety at sea requires an all-hands-on-deck approach, and we will all need to do our part! 💪
