In recent weeks, I’ve noticed an encouraging trend: more dads are reaching out for my potty training services! 🎉 This is a significant shift, especially since statistics show this responsibility has historically been led by moms. It’s a great signal of evolving parenting dynamics and a willingness among fathers to take an active role in their children’s development. One engaging conversation I had with a dad perfectly captured this shift. He said, “We’re kicking off potty training in mid-October. Can you come and teach our boy how to use the potty?” 🚽 The enthusiasm in his voice was palpable, and it got me thinking about how we can apply a #corporate #mindset to this essential, home-based #task. Potty Training as a #project 📊 From a project management perspective, potty training involves several key components: ✏️ Stakeholder Engagement: Just as in any project, the child is the primary stakeholder. Understanding their readiness and feelings about this transition is crucial. 💬 ✏️ Setting Clear Objectives: While we can’t impose strict deadlines, establishing milestones—like recognizing signs of readiness or celebrating small successes—can help guide the process. 🎯 ✏️ Flexible Planning: Just like adapting to project changes, potty training requires flexibility. Each child progresses at their own pace, so being prepared to adjust your approach is essential. 🔄 ✏️ Positive Reinforcement: In a corporate setting, recognition and rewards drive motivation. The same principle applies to potty training. Celebrating successes, no matter how small, encourages children to keep trying and gives you a reason to tap yourself on the back to stay on track! 🏆 ✏️ Team Collaboration: Involving both parents and domestic helper or even older siblings in the potty training process fosters a supportive environment. It’s about creating a team effort at home. 🤝 Let’s embrace this challenge together and celebrate growth and achievement in both our professional and parenting worlds! Here’s to a successful journey ahead! 🎉🌟 #PottyTraining #DadsMatter #ParentingTogether #Fatherhood #ActiveDads #ProjectManagement #ChildDevelopment #SustainableParenting #TeamParenting #ParentingJourney #PositiveReinforcement #GrowingUp #FamilyFirst #DadLife #MilestoneMoments #Motherhood

Disposable #diapers are the main item and universally used across continents for toileting infants and toddlers. They have achieved incredible success since their invention in the 1950s. In many developed countries the usage rate of disposable diapers exceeds 95%. In developing countries, the usage rate is significant and growing, ranging from 50% to 80%. On a global scale, it is estimated that about 70-80% of parents use disposable diapers for their children. However, this convenience comes with a substantial environmental impact. 💩 👉 Around 20 billion pieces of used diapers end up in landfills each year, generating more than 3.5 million tons of diaper waste. 🔥 👉 Disposable diapers are the 3rd largest single consumer item in landfills, taking 500 years to decompose. As we continue to rely on disposable diapers for their ease of use, it’s crucial to also focus on sustainable solutions and innovations. 🚽 👉 New approaches to introducing and practicing potty, as well as familiarizing children with public restrooms in our busy and demanding world, can make a significant difference. Balancing convenience with environmental responsibility involves understanding that starting potty training early and considering alternatives like cloth diapers can contribute to a healthier planet for future generations. Check out this article https://lnkd.in/gNx86745 to raise awareness on the topic and invite to discussion. Addressing misconceptions and finding practical solutions can alleviate frustration and unnecessary stress for both parents and children in midst of transition from diapers to potty independence. A study published in the #Singapore Medical Journal (2020 Feb) sheds light on hidden problem: #constipation affecting many children, often going unnoticed by busy parents. It describes the common situation where a domestic helper is in charge of taking care of the child, yet the responsibility for the child’s health still falls on the parents. But when there is an issue, parents take the child to the doctor, who asks simple questions and receives surprising answers such as: 👉 “I don’t know, I think he passes motion every day,” 👉 “the childcare teacher didn’t mention that he’s constipated,” 👉 or the most unhelpful, “you ask my child.” Read the full medical study https://lnkd.in/gKhZkQsX Tinkle Star was founded to address this issue and fill the gap in communication between parents and caregivers. Often, children are left without a leader to navigate the smooth and easy transition from diapers to the potty. In response, Alicja Pawlowska created a potty training workshop for domestic helpers that covers all aspects of diapering and the transition to potty/toilet. She ran this pilot workshop in collaboration with a migrant center in Singapore, where domestic helpers could join the classes free of charge. It was an unbelievable experience to receive feedback such as, "It is so helpful, I know how to help my employer's kid, and I will speak up to my employer if I recognize poop problems." Tinkle Star achieved success and is ready to offer this program on the Singaporean market and beyond, everywhere where domestic helpers play a crucial role in families with little kids. We call on all individuals and institutions to support our efforts to create a supportive environment for all kids who are in the midst of saying farewell to diapers. Caregivers and parents who are fully aware and empathetic can provide the proper support, avoiding unnecessary tears, fear, pain, months of medications, pauses in childhood activities, anxiety, and more. Let’s invest in educating ourselves rather than subjecting our kids to negative experiences at the beginning of their journey into using the toilet. Remember, this daily routine is crucial to staying healthy throughout life. Let’s help our children have a good experience from their first attempt. #pottytraining #dignity #constipation #domestichelpers #domesticworker #pottytime #parenthood #motherhood #caregiver #toilet #laxatives

Potty training—a phrase that evokes a mix of anticipation, challenges, and triumphs for parents embarking on this pivotal milestone with their children. It's more than just teaching a new skill; it signifies a significant step towards independence and self-sufficiency. For parents of #infants, #crawlers, or #toddlers still in diapers, the thought of potty training might seem distant or overwhelming. #Diapers serve as a reliable barrier against messes, and this belief is reinforced by the current marketing promises of the diaper industry, which include offering larger sizes or additional features. The idea of transitioning away from them can be daunting. However, potty training is a natural progression in a child's development—one that requires patience, consistency, and understanding. Read more here: https://lnkd.in/g6XehGDb It's essential to recognize potty training as a milestone that varies in timing and approach for each child. There's no one-size-fits-all method; instead, it's a journey guided by cues and parental support. At Tinkle Star, we believe in fostering open conversations about potty training, destigmatizing the topic, and providing resources to empower parents. #parenthood #nappy #diaper #pottytraining #dignity #sanitation #hygiene #toilet #potty #baby #motherhood #fatherhood

Constipation in children is more than just a statistic—it's a common and often distressing issue for both kids and parents. Many parents reach out for help when it's already a significant problem, often needing to arrange medical appointments and use laxatives to relieve their child’s discomfort. As frustrating as this can be, it’s important to remember that with the right approach, we can prevent and manage constipation effectively. Most children (96%) have what's known as functional #constipation, meaning there's no underlying physical cause. Their bowel should work properly, but for some reason, they’ve become constipated. Changes in routine, such as starting potty training, beginning preschool, or feeling worried about something, can contribute to this. When children feel anxious, it can be hard for them to relax on the potty or toilet. Tinkle Star lights up this topic to avoid stress and unnecessary experiences in childhood for kids and parents. We, as adults and parents, also use the toilet at least once a day, but we’ve had years to develop these habits. Offering children #patience and #support in their daily routine, especially during the transition from #diapers to the #potty, is crucial. Let's talk about natural body functions and make the potty or #toilet a happy place for our little ones. Join our initiative to raise happy and healthy kids. #pottytime #nappies

As #parents, we want the best for our #children, especially when it comes to their comfort and well-being. But have you ever stopped to think about the impact of the everyday choices we make for them? Enter #GenZ, a generation born into the era of convenience, including disposable diapers, is now stepping into the new stage of #parenthood. While many of us naturally turn to the same diapering solutions we were familiar with, we're faced with various options from the diaper industry, designed to prolong our loyalty to them. Yet, beneath this facade of choice lies a growing concern - the health implications of prolonged diaper usage on our precious children. Despite the advancements in technology, education, and opportunities that our generation has experienced, the fundamental principles of sanitation and dignity remain #unchanged. As a socially developed society, we uphold the right and commitment to defecate and urinate in designated places like the #potty and #toilet. In this context, diapers should be viewed as a temporary stage in our children's development, a pathway to independence.
